Director of Business Development Enablement

Office: London (hybrid 50% required)
Overview of Role
The role will lead the newly created Business Development Enablement team, formed at an exciting time for the firm, to support delivery of the global growth strategy through:
- Improved client intelligence
- Implementation of new technology and the martech suite
- Embedding structured BD programmes such as Activator Advantage, with technology and process improvements

Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Lead the strategy, development, and day-to-day management of the firm’s marketing and business development technology stack, with primary responsibility for CRM, ERM, and e-marketing platforms
- Own the roadmap for CRM and relationship intelligence tools, ensuring they support the firm’s:
- Client development
- Cross-selling
- Account management
- Growth objectives
- Drive adoption and best practice use of CRM and ERM systems across:
- Marketing
- BD (Business Development)
- Client-facing professionals
- Through training, guidance, and change management initiatives
- Oversee:
- Data quality
- Governance
- Integrity across marketing and BD systems, ensuring:
- Accurate client, contact, relationship, and activity data
- Partner with:
- BD
- Marketing
- Communications
- IT
- Knowledge teams
- To translate business needs into practical technology solutions and system enhancements
- Develop and maintain:
- Reporting dashboards
- Insight tools
- To support business development planning
- Campaign performance analysis
- Decision-making of management
- Identify opportunities to improve:
- Client intelligence
- Intermediary intelligence
- Understand relationship networks
- Referral pathways
- Discover growth opportunities
- Support implementation of new technology and system enhancements, including:
- Requirements gathering
- Testing
- Roll-out planning
- User adoption
- Act as the key liaison with:
- External technology vendors
- Platform providers
- To manage relationships
- Service delivery
- Renewals
- Ongoing optimisation
- Establish and document best practice processes to ensure:
- Consistency
- Efficiency
- Compliance
- Across all teams
- Monitor:
- Market developments
- Emerging technologies in:
- CRM
- ERM
- Marketing automation
- Data analytics
- Recommending improvements where applicable
- Ensure compliance with:
- Data protection, privacy, and regulatory requirements across:
- Client and contact data
- Systems and campaigns
- Data protection, privacy, and regulatory requirements across:
- Provide leadership and subject-matter expertise on:
- How technology can enable strategic, data-driven business development
- Marketing activity across the firm
- Responsible for incident management of martech tools:
- Responding to and escalating critical issues in a timely and appropriate manner
- Optimise:
- Operational efficiency
- Strengthen governance
- Embed continuous improvement across the team
- Lead and develop direct reports or support resources to build a high-performing team

Education, Skills, & Experience
- Relevant experience in a business development or market technology role within a professional services environment
- Experience working with CRM systems and data-driven BD approaches
- Proven experience:
- Implementing new technology
- Driving adoption
- Experience working in a partnership environment (essential)
