Our partner is looking for a Senior Manager, Clinical Operations Site Management (Franchise Lead) - CNS based in United Kingdom.

We are seeking an experienced clinical operations leader to oversee site management strategy and execution within the central nervous system (CNS) therapeutic area.

This role plays a critical part in ensuring successful clinical trial delivery by combining operational expertise, strategic planning, and cross-functional leadership.

  • You will collaborate with project teams, therapeutic experts, and operational stakeholders to drive quality, efficiency, and compliance across global studies.

Accountabilities

As Senior Manager, Clinical Operations Site Management (Franchise Lead), you will provide therapeutic and operational leadership throughout the clinical trial lifecycle, ensuring successful delivery of CNS-focused programs while supporting teams, clients, and internal stakeholders.

  • Provide strategic therapeutic and operational expertise throughout program and project delivery activities.
  • Ensure clinical projects within the assigned franchise are appropriately resourced and positioned for successful execution.
  • Collaborate with therapeutic teams to develop effective delivery strategies and operational solutions for clinical programs.
  • Serve as a key point of contact for project management franchise leadership and support alignment across functions.
  • Participate in proposal defense meetings and client discussions to provide operational expertise and support business development activities.
  • Ensure clinical research associates are appropriately trained and prepared to deliver study requirements, including protocol expectations, SOPs, quality processes, and clinical monitoring plans.
  • Partner with quality teams to identify training needs and support continuous improvement initiatives based on quality findings and corrective action plans.
  • Coordinate activities between project management, site management, and study start-up teams to ensure smooth execution.
  • Establish communication processes around quality metrics, site performance indicators, study health, data review status, resource planning, and contractual objectives.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide leadership support for direct reports.

Requirements

  • You are an experienced clinical operations professional with strong therapeutic expertise, leadership capabilities, and a proven ability to manage complex global clinical trials.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in biological sciences, physical sciences, health sciences, pharmacy, or a related scientific discipline with at least 8 years of clinical research experience as a Clinical Research Associate (CRA), or equivalent education/training with 10 years of relevant clinical research experience.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of people management or team leadership experience.
  • Additional Requirements:
    • Proven experience supporting global clinical trials and understanding the full drug development lifecycle.
    • Required experience working on CNS clinical trials.
    • Strong knowledge of clinical research processes, protocols, regulatory requirements, and operational delivery standards.
    • Broad therapeutic knowledge and ability to apply scientific understanding to clinical operations.
    • Strong strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
    • Excellent organizational and planning skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across global teams.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced, innovative environment while maintaining quality and compliance standards.
