About This Opportunity
Markets & Treasury Operations plays a critical role in supporting Lloyds Banking Group's Global Markets and Treasury businesses, providing the expertise, controls and resilience that underpin the successful execution and settlement of financial market transactions.
We're seeking a Senior Manager to lead our Confirmations & Controls function within Markets Operations. This is a highly visible leadership role responsible for the oversight and strategic development of confirmations and settlement controls supporting Global Markets activities. You'll help strengthen resilience, reduce risk, improve efficiency and deliver key business outcomes across a complex & evolving environment.
Alongside leading a business-critical operation, you'll shape future processes through automation, innovation and technology. Working closely with Operations, Technology, Risk, Change and Front Office partners, you'll drive improvements that enhance controls, customer outcomes and long-term growth.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced leader who combines deep Markets Operations expertise with a passion for transformation, continuous improvement and people leadership.
What You'll Be Doing

Lead a Critical Operational Function
- Lead Confirmations activities across Global Markets products, ensuring strong operational performance, control effectiveness and service delivery.
- Be responsible for settlement control processes, ensuring issues, exceptions and risks are identified, managed and resolved effectively.
- Support governance and accountability for critical Markets Settlements processes, helping to maintain a robust control environment and strong customer outcomes.
- Contribute to the management of operational incidents and service recovery activity to minimise customer and business impact.

Drive Automation, Controls & Innovation
- Lead the ongoing optimisation of controls, reconciliations and operational processes through the use of automation tools, including Xceptor, alongside emerging technologies such as Digital Assets and AI.
- Find opportunities to improve efficiency, accuracy and control effectiveness through automation and process enhancement.
- Partner with technology teams to define and deliver system enhancements that improve efficiency, strengthen controls and reduce operational risk.

Deliver Strategic Change
- Partner with stakeholders to deliver strategic change initiatives, including international operating model developments, platform migrations and broader Markets transformation programmes.
- Provide operational leadership and subject matter expertise across business change activity.
- Represent Markets Operations within governance forums, committees and senior leadership discussions.

- Build and develop high-performing teams, creating an inclusive environment where colleagues can thrive.
- Coach and support colleagues to maximise performance, capability and career development.
- Lead workforce planning and capability development to meet current and future business needs.
- Drive a culture of accountability, continuous improvement and innovation.
What You'll Bring
- Extensive experience leading Markets Operations, Treasury Operations or Capital Markets Operations teams within a regulated financial services environment (5+ years).
- Deep expertise in operational controls, settlements, confirmations or post-trade processes, alongside a strong understanding of operational risk, governance and control frameworks (5+ years).
- A proven track record of delivering automation, process improvement and business transformation initiatives within complex financial services organisations (5+ years).
- In addition, you’ll have:
- Deep knowledge of Global Markets products and supporting operational processes.
- The ability to build trusted relationships, influence decision-making and engage effectively with senior leaders across Front Office, Operations, Technology, Risk and Change functions.
- A track record of developing high-performing teams and leading colleagues through change.
- Broad knowledge of the Global Markets and Treasury operating environment, including regulatory and market developments.
- A passion for innovation and emerging technologies, including AI and automation.
