We are looking to welcome a Contracts Manager to lead and develop our dynamic Contracts team. This is an excellent, high-impact opportunity with significant visibility across the business, offering the chance to influence key commercial outcomes and drive continuous improvement within a critical function.
Responsibilities
- Manage a team of Contracts professionals and provide direction, ensuring alignment of business goals to the contracts organization
- Own, develop, implement, and execute policies, procedures, and processes in accordance with company and customer requirements, identifying key performance indicators and managing production and analysis thereof
- Participate in and/or conduct front-end assessments of proposals
- Summarize contractual issues, research compliance matters, interpret regulations, identify risks, and formulate recommendations
- Provide business support and ensure risk mitigation when necessary
- Lead or oversee proposal development, with particular attention to contractual elements including:
- Reviewing terms for acceptability and compliance with company policies and procedures
- Contract formation, negotiations, and administration within the business
- Participate in securing required management approval for submittal of proposals to customers
- Support closure with customers when contractual challenges require engagement from Contracts Senior Leadership
- Enhance the Contracts Program with the Central Contracts Team
- Lead and develop talent for contracts associates within the business and across the company
- Work internally at all levels of the business with significant exposure and time spent with leaders of different SBUs and the General Counsel of Collins Aerospace
- Coordinate between/among SBUs when contracts, proposal activities, or common issues affect multiple business units with the same customer
- Support audits or customer requests

Requirements & Preferences
Essential Experience & Qualifications
- Proven experience leading, mentoring, and developing high-performing teams.
- Experience in a similar role is essential.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively represent the Contracts function across the wider business, including engagement with senior leadership and key stakeholders.
- Strong commercial awareness and business acumen, with the ability to balance risk, opportunity, and business objectives.
- Excellent relationship-building and influencing skills, with a track record of successful stakeholder management and advocacy.
- Industry knowledge and experience are advantageous.
