Senior Manager, Courier & Logistics - EU P&P, Rider Supply (FTC - 10 months)

We’re seeking a Senior Manager, Courier & Logistics – EU P&P, Rider Supply (L5) to join our London-based team in a hybrid role (60% office, based at The River Building). On a 10-month Fixed-Term Contract (FTC), you’ll lead the performance and stability of our courier network across multiple markets, ensuring high engagement, sustainable participation, and the right balance of supply to meet demand.
About the Role
Team & Focus
You’ll join the Strategy & Operations team, responsible for maintaining a stable, engaged, and responsive courier network across our markets. This includes overseeing the full lifecycle experience—from onboarding to retaining long-term participation—to ensure a reliable and scalable supply base.
Your Responsibilities
Strategic Direction & Execution
- Set the strategic vision for your team, breaking down high-level business goals into clear, actionable workstreams that drive network stability and resilience.
- Act as a talent multiplier, coaching, developing, and managing a high-performing team to foster ownership and technical excellence.
- Align team efforts with data-driven insights to balance operational demand and capacity flexibly.

Network Operations & Performance
- Monitor network dynamics beyond onboarding, identifying risks or opportunities and implementing operational responses.
- Act as the bridge between data and cross-market execution, ensuring scalable solutions that adapt to evolving challenges.
Stakeholder Leadership & Influence
- Champion your team’s interests by building strong relationships with Product, Data, and Operations.
- Secure cross-functional alignment and senior leadership buy-in, communicating strategic trade-offs clearly.
- Influence the scaling of initiatives to drive collective impact.
What You’ll Need
Essential Qualifications
- Proven leadership experience: Managing and developing high-performing teams in complex, fast-paced environments, with a strong coaching track record.
- Strategic mindset: Translating high-level business objectives into executable frameworks and owning end-to-end execution.
- Strong stakeholder management: Expertise in building influence with Product, Data, and Leadership teams.
- Data-driven decision-making: Navigating ambiguity and using data to structure problems, prioritise initiatives, and measure impact.
- Bias for outcomes: Delivering on scalable business results over short-term outputs, driving continuous improvement.
Nice to Have
- Prior experience in courier, logistics, or gig economy operations.
- Familiarity with experimentation, measurement, and operational change management.
- Experience with automation tools (e.g., Zapier, smart spreadsheets, or basic scripting) to optimise high-volume workflows.
