About the Role

We’re seeking a Senior Manager, Courier & Logistics - EU P&P (L5) to join our London team on a 10-month Fixed-Term Contract (FTC). This is a hybrid role, primarily based in our London Head Office (The River Building), with an expectation of ~60% office-based time. In this role, you’ll help shape the performance and stability of our courier network across multiple markets—ensuring strong engagement, sustainable participation, and the right supply-demand balance.

You’ll join the Strategy & Operations team, responsible for maintaining a stable, engaged, and responsive courier network. Your focus? Post-onboarding lifecycle management—ensuring new couriers get off to a strong start and existing riders stay motivated for the long term, building a reliable and adaptable supply base.

  • Set a strategic vision for your team, translating high-level business goals into clear, actionable workstreams to tackle network stability and resilience.
  • Act as a talent multiplier by coaching, developing, and managing a high-performing team, fostering a culture of ownership and technical excellence.

Network Operations & Performance

  • Keep a deep pulse on network dynamics beyond onboarding—spot emerging risks or opportunities and design effective operational responses.
  • Balance team capacity against fast-moving operational demands by acting as the bridge between data-driven insights and multi-market execution.

Stakeholder Leadership & Influence

  • Be the primary advocate for your team across wider business teams, with strong relationships built with Product, Data, and broader Operations functions.
  • Secure cross-functional buy-in when communicating with senior leadership, clearly articulating strategic trade-offs and aligning stakeholders on scaling initiatives.

What You’ll Need to Thrive

Essential

  • Proven people leadership – Experience managing and developing high-performing teams in complex, fast-paced environments, with a track record of coaching direct reports.
  • Strategic vision – Ability to translate business objectives into actionable frameworks and own execution end-to-end.
  • Strong stakeholder management – Mastery of building relationships across product, data, and operations, influencing to drive outcomes from senior leadership.
  • Data-driven decision-making – Competency in navigating ambiguity, using data to solve complex problems, guide prioritisation, and measure collective impact.
  • Bias for outcomes – Focus on scalable business impact (not just output) while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and iteration.

Nice to Have

  • Previous experience within courier, logistics, or gig economy operations.
  • Fluency with experimentation, measurement design, and operational change management.
  • Experience using basic automation tools (e.g., Zapier, smart spreadsheets, or simple scripts) to optimise high-volume workflows.
