Your Impactful Role:
As a key member of our team, you will:
Lead Complex Projects: Partner closely with Directors and Partners on intricate, high-value projects, delivering technically excellent and strategic tax advice. Drive Business Growth: Proactively identify and pursue new client opportunities, playing a significant role in our business development initiatives. Cultivate Client Relationships: Develop and nurture robust relationships with clients, becoming a trusted advisor who understands their commercial objectives and identifies new avenues for providing comprehensive tax and advisory services. Orchestrate Global Teams: Lead and manage multi-jurisdictional teams on complex tax reporting engagements, collaborating with specialist functions, overseas member firms, and external advisors to deliver successful client outcomes. Be a Key Contact: Serve as the primary day-to-day contact for audit and tax reporting engagements, ensuring seamless communication and coordination with audit teams and clients. Ensure Technical Excellence: Critically review and meticulously document technical tax disclosures prepared by clients and their independent advisors. Foster Collaboration: Build strong internal networks with audit teams and other departments, promoting cross-functional synergy and knowledge sharing. Strategic Team Management: Contribute to the operational efficiency and performance of the team, including strategic resourcing and planning. Develop Future Talent: Empower and mentor junior colleagues through effective delegation, rigorous quality control, and dedicated professional development. Advance Technical Knowledge: Stay abreast of the latest tax developments and share critical insights, fostering a culture of continuous learning and technical excellence within the team. What You Bring:
You will likely possess a blend of the following qualifications, skills, and experience:
Professional Qualification: ACA, ACCA, or CTA qualified. Tax Expertise: Sound knowledge of UK corporate taxation, with a valuable awareness of international tax issues. Accounting Acumen: Robust understanding of accountancy principles, particularly tax accounting (including deferred taxation and accounts disclosures) under IFRS and UK GAAP. Knowledge of US GAAP is also highly desirable. Client Relationship Building: Proven ability to build and sustain strong, trusted relationships with clients. Accountability & Resilience: Demonstrates personal responsibility, a high level of drive, and a positive attitude, thriving under pressure. Analytical & Commercial: Strong analytical skills, combined with a curious mindset and commercial awareness, enabling you to resolve complex issues and provide insightful advice. Sound Judgement: Exercises excellent judgment, adept at identifying and evaluating risks, and knowing when to seek additional input.
