About the Role
Our mission is to connect BMG’s extensive library of anthems, danceFloor hitters, and chartToppers with fans across every platform.
As the Senior Digital Marketing Manager for frontline artists, you’ll:
- Oversee digital strategy, trend-driven marketing, and innovative campaign development
- Focus on audience engagement, pushing streams, saves, playlist additions, and long-term cultural value
- Work hands-on with artists and their teams to build unified fan engagement strategies
- Partner with cross-functional teams to shape the future of digital music marketing
This role sits in a fast-evolving team—we embed data, automation, and AI into workflows to drive smarter, faster, and more impactful marketing. You don’t need to architect AI systems, but you’ll need to explore how technology transforms fan discovery and artist growth.
Key Responsibilities
Campaign Management & Strategy
- Plan, execute, and manage paired organic and paid campaigns across all platforms, targeting:
- Streaming engagements (plays, streams, keeps)
- Algorithmic placements
- fan acquisition and retention
- Define quarterly goals (e.g., saves, chart positioning, playlist boosts) and align budgets to performance benchmarks.
- Review campaign assets—whether produced in-house, by agencies, or through AI-assisted tools.
Data & Analytics
- Use streaming data, analytics tools (Chartmetric, Spotify for Artists, etc.), and industry research to identify:
- Bliss tracks gaining traction
- new fan communities
- viral moments for actionable prompts
- Develop audience segmentation analytics (new listeners to superfans) and translate insights into actionable frameworks.

Artist & Channel Representation
- Oversee artist presence across digital platforms and forge relationships with:
- Platform reps (Spotify Artists, TikTok, YouTube, etc.)
- Third-party marketing partners
- Stay ahead of new platform features, ads, and search/trending tools, particularly AI-driven music discovery tools.
Collaboration & Adaptability
- Bridge digital marketing, commercial, and technical teams domestically and globally where applicable.
- Collaborate with:
- A&R/catalogue owners to align campaigns with commercial uptake and artist approval
- Local subdivisions to adapt campaigns while sharing learnings.
- Adopt evolving campaign process templates and naming conventions, integrating new AI/automation tools fluidly.
Day-to-Day Operations
- Ensure precise execution of digital logistics:
- Smart tracking links
- Channel uploads
- Content scheduling
- Report deadlines
Requirements
Essential Skills
✔ Passion for music across genres and cultures; deep understanding of global fan behaviors. ✔ Proven music industry expertise, ideally:
- In music labels, management, DSPs (Spotify, Apple Music), or music-focused agencies. ✔ Expertise in integrated digital marketing strategy (music, entertainment, or media context). ✔ Seasoned hands-on experience in running paid campaigns across:
- Meta/Facebook
- TikTok
- Plus any alternative platforms. ✔ Ability to structure campaigns for results, not just vendor certifications. ✔ Master data storytelling—interpret analytics to explain why something works (or fails) and propose adjustments. ✔ Clear written and visual communication skills, adept at:
- Briefing creative teams.
- Presenting reports to non-experts.
Interpersonal Traits
✔ Organized self-starter with collaborative mindset, bridging creative, commercial and technical teams. ✔ Curious tech skeptic—willing to test new tools, experiment with AI, and guide strategic adoption.
Nice-to-Haves
🚀 Proficiency in core marketing technologies, including:
- CRM/email systems
- Canva, Adobe Suite
- CapCut and other content-editing apps
- Familiarity with access fees tools (e.g., Luminate and Spotify for Artists)
