About the Role

Job Title: Senior Manager, Employee Relations (12-month maternity cover) Team: People (Employee Relations Centre of Excellence)

You’ll take on a strategic leadership role, shaping Dunnhumby’s approach to employee well-being, productivity, and growth. As the Senior Manager for Employee Relations, you will:

  • Lead the EU-wide Employee Relations Centre of Excellence, ensuring workplace harmony, compliance, and operational excellence.
  • Update and implement the employee relations roadmap, aligned with company values and global ambitions.
  • Handle high-level workplace issues across multiple EU markets, resolving complex cases with precision and empathy.
  • Anchulise ER data to build proactive strategies that enhance both employee satisfaction and manager effectiveness.
  • Develop and deliver training programs to upskill the People team and managers on best-in-class employee relations practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership:

    • Develop and execute a comprehensive employee relations roadmap, ensuring alignment with business goals.
    • Drive culture change through initiatives that foster inclusion, engagement, and a positive work environment.
  • Case & Policy Management:

    • Lead resolve and investigate complex employee relations cases across multiple EU jurisdictions.
    • Envise company policies, procedures, and frameworks to ensure legal compliance and best practice.
  • Coaching & Development:

    • Mentor People Business Partners, coaching them on high-level employee relations strategies and best practices.
    • Lead training sessions, particularly for managers and leadership teams, on proactive ER management.
  • Data-Driven Insights:

    • Analyse ER metrics and employee feedback to enhance working experiences.
  • Tactical & Operational Focus:

    • Be ready to "roll up your sleeves" when required—we value hands-on problem-solving and agility.

What You’ll Bring

  • Essential:
    • Strong HR experience with EU-wide coverage (beyond UK-specific scopes).
    • Proven track record handling sensitive, high-stakes employee relations cases.
    • Coaching and mentoring expertise— capability to elevate teams’ skills.
    • Love for leadership—ability to inspire confidence, guide change, and maintain trust.
