Senior Manager – Enterprise Strategy, Consumer Markets
About The Role
The Enterprise Strategy team sits within Consulting and focuses on operating model design, large-scale transformation and value realisation for clients across the Consumer Markets sector — including retail, FMCG, food and beverage, consumer goods, leisure and hospitality businesses. We help organisations navigate complexity, redesign how they operate and deliver transformation programmes that drive measurable performance improvement.
We are a highly motivated, collaborative and diverse team with deep expertise across consumer-facing industries, commercial operations, supply chain and technology-enabled change. Our work spans target operating model design and implementation, organisational and process redesign, commercial and supply chain transformation, cost reduction, governance improvement and benefits realisation. We help consumer markets clients simplify ways of working, improve end-to-end supply chain performance, strengthen commercial capability and support sustainable growth.
This is an opportunity to join a growing Consumer Markets team working with clients facing rapid change driven by shifting consumer behaviours, margin pressure, digital disruption, sustainability demands and evolving channel strategies. As a Senior Manager, you will lead high-profile engagements, shape client recommendations, develop colleagues and support the growth of our consumer markets strategy and transformation capability.
What Your Days Will Look Like
You will work with leading consumer markets organisations in a fast-paced, commercially focused environment, using strong analytical and interpersonal skills to help design and implement new ways of working. The role involves leading analysis, preparing and presenting reports to senior clients, and collaborating across functions to deliver operating model change, technology-enabled transformation and complex programmes.
You will work with our team to support a range of assignments including:
Leading target operating model design and implementation, including business analysis, functional decomposition, organisational design, governance and capability design across consumer markets businesses Driving commercial, supply chain and technology transformation programmes, including pricing, route-to-market, demand planning, sourcing, logistics and fulfilment. Leading technology transformation and implementation programmes, helping clients define requirements, manage vendor selection and oversee delivery of core platforms (e.g. ERP, CRM, supply chain systems) that underpin operating model change Shaping and delivering AI and agentic transformation initiatives, helping consumer markets clients identify use cases, design target operating models that embed AI and agentic capabilities, and realise value from intelligent automation across commercial and supply chain functions Supporting value realisation and benefits tracking, ensuring transformation programmes deliver measurable financial and operational outcomes Preparing and presenting clear analysis, reports, SteerCo materials and recommendations to senior client stakeholders Managing programme delivery disciplines including planning, risk and issue management, dependency tracking and benefits tracking across complex engagements Collaborating closely with our clients and working at client site as and when required

This Role Is For You If You Have
Demonstrable experience in operating model design, business transformation, programme delivery or large-scale change within the Consumer Markets sector (retail, FMCG, consumer goods, food and beverage, leisure or hospitality), gained in consulting or industry Experience in any of; core commercial transformation (e.g. pricing, revenue management, trade investment, route-to-market, category management), core supply chain transformation (e.g. demand planning, procurement, manufacturing, logistics, distribution, fulfilment) and technology transformation and implementation programmes (e.g. ERP, CRM, supply chain platforms), with an understanding of how these disciplines intersect to drive operating model redesign Awareness of and interest in AI, agentic AI and intelligent automation, with the ability to help clients explore how these capabilities can be embedded within target operating models to drive efficiency and competitive advantage Experience in process improvement and re-engineering across core commercial and supply chain functions. Demonstrable understanding of the challenges facing consumer markets businesses, including margin pressure, changing consumer behaviours, channel proliferation, supply chain disruption, sustainability requirements, digital transformation and the need for commercial agility Experience leading complex stakeholder environments and the ability to build credibility with senior client teams across commercial, supply chain, finance, procurement, operations, technology and corporate functions Ability to prepare and present clear, well-structured analysis, reports and presentations to senior client staff using Microsoft PowerPoint Strong commercial awareness, a good understanding of project profitability and budget management, and comfort supporting business development activity Experience managing and guiding the development of less experienced staff, with a desire to develop your line management and mentoring skills
