The Role: Senior Manager, Financial Partnerships, Banking & New Market Development (EMEA)
We’re seeking a self-starter and out-of-the-box thinker to establish and lead airwallex’s banking partnerships strategy for UK and Europe. The ideal candidate has deep industry experience, particularly in payments and financial services, with a proven network of banking/financial institution relationships.
Your Responsibilities
You’ll drive our banking partnership approach for EMEA, scaling our global collections and payouts network. Key focus areas include:
- Develop and execute a banking partnerships strategy that aligns with Airwallex’s global vision.
- Own critical partnerships, new and existing, as the primary interface between Airwallex and partners.
- Research and benchmark the competitive landscape to maintain our market leadership.
- Expand regional reach by identifying and integrating with local banks, acquirers, and payment methods.
- Orchestrate due diligence and onboarding for prospective partners.
- Elevate Airwallex’s industry thought leadership through content, partnerships, and external engagement.

What You Bring
Experience & Expertise
- 7+ years in financial institutions, global/regional banks, and payment networks.
- Relentless attention to detail and relationship-building capabilities.
- Regulatory acumen: Compliance with global/regional banks and onboarding processes.
- Cross-functional collaboration: Work seamlessly with Product, Legal, Compliance, Finance, and Commercial.
- International experience: Proven success in multi-market or cross-border partnerships.
- Tech-savvy: Comfortable in fast-moving, technology-driven environments.
