About the Role
One Identity is seeking a Senior Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) to become the embedded finance partner for Customer Success, Professional Services, and Support. Reporting to the VP Finance, this role involves comprehensive leadership in financial modeling, forecasting, and analysis with a critical focus on driving retention and expansion outcomes through the post-sales organization. Specifically, you will own and lead ARR snowball modeling (renewals, expansion, contraction, churn waterfall).

Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities

Own the ARR snowball model
- Design, maintain, and refine projections from beginning to ending ARR (accounting for new business, expansion, contraction, churn, reactivation) at the cohort, segment, and company levels.
- Ensure this model functions as the single source of truth for Finance, Customer Success, and executive reporting.

Dedicated Finance Business Partner
- Embed within planning processes for Customer Success, Professional Services, and Support leadership teams, rather than reviewing numbers post fact.

Forecasting and Churn Mitigation
- Increase precision in forecasting renewals, expansion, and churn trends.
- Partner with Customer Success leadership to build early-warning indicators for at-risk accounts and revenue risks, minimizing downturns.

P&L Management
- Develop and maintain the P&L for Professional Services and Support, incorporating:
- Utilization analysis
- Cost-to-serve modelling
- Margin analysis
- Propose improvements to optimize unit economics. (Contraction) Analyze quantitative and qualitative factors driving contraction and churn to identify trends, prioritize retention initiatives, and measure their financial impact.
- Develop and maintain the P&L for Professional Services and Support, incorporating:

Budget and Rolling Forecast Leadership
- Lead the annual budget and rolling forecast processes for the post-sales teams, covering:
- Headcount planning
- Cost modeling
- Scenario analysis

Dashboard Development and Reporting
- Create and maintain dashboards including:
- Net Revenue Retention (NRR)
- Gross Revenue Retention (GRR)
- Logo retention
- Churn drivers
- Renewal rates
- Professional Services margin
- Support cost-to-serve
- Present key financial insights to the CFO and executive leadership teams.
- Create and maintain dashboards including:

Interdepartmental Reconciliation
- Collaborate with Sales and Revenue Operations to ensure consistency across CRM, billing, and finance systems.

Deep Analysis
- Conduct comprehensive analysis on churn, contraction, and retention initiatives to quantify financial risks and opportunities.

Support Executive Reporting
- Assist the CFO in preparing board reports and sponsor (PE) presentations on ARR health, net revenue retention, and post-sales unit economics.

Process Improvements & Automation
- Drive the expansion and automation of ARR reporting processes, reducing manual reconciliations as the business scales.
Qualifications
About You - Experience & Skills

7-10 years of finance experience, including:
- At least 3-4 years in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), Revenue Operations, or a related SaaS strategic finance role.

Core Competencies
-
Proven expertise in building and maintaining SaaS ARR waterfall/snowball models. This is central to the role’s expectation.

Deep grasp of key SaaS retention metrics: Net Revenue Retention (NRR), Gross Revenue Retention (GRR), logo churn, gross vs. net retention, and cohort analysis.

Direct experience partnering with Customer Success, Professional Services, or Support organizations, including:
- Cost-to-serve and utilization modeling.

Advanced proficiency in Excel and SQL, and familiarity with:
- BI tools (such as Tableau, Looker, Power BI).
- CRM and billing systems (e.g., Salesforce, Gainsight, Zuora).

Experience with FP&A planning tools (like NetSuite, Anaplan, Planful).

Awareness of:
- PE (private equity) backed organizations.
- Expectations of sponsor level reporting.

Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business preferred.
- MBA and CPA certifications considered a plus.
