Senior Manager, Tax Managed Services

Location: Newcastle

Team: Global Compliance & Reporting (GCR) – Global Tax Managed Services

About the Role

EY is dedicated to shaping your future with confidence through diverse, globally connected teams. Our Global Compliance & Reporting (GCR) professionals help businesses meet tax reporting, compliance, and tax risk management demands — especially during tax transformation and operating model change programmes. As part of GCR, our Tax Managed Services team supports leading organisations in outsourcing tax and finance operations, designing tax operating models, and managing compliance and reporting services.

We thrive on diversity, embracing different cultures, nationalities, and backgrounds. Currently, we are experiencing unprecedented demand for our services and look forward to strong growth alongside a dynamic team.

This is an exciting opportunity to join our thriving team based in Newcastle, primarily working with London and India teams while occasionally supporting colleagues in Germany, Netherlands, Switzerland, Hungary, and France. You’ll have the chance to gain cross-service experience, collaborate with senior team members, and actively contribute to developing our business.

Your Key Responsibilities

Business Development & Pursuit Support

  • Provide senior support to large pursuit and proposal activities in response to client Requests for Proposals (RFPs), including leading global pricing exercises, engaging in strategic negotiations, and participating in EY’s client presentation team.
  • Support the development of a client’s business case for change.
  • Identify opportunities for additional EY services or extensions to outsourcing services for existing clients.
  • Own and drive your own sales pipeline, focusing on mid-sized and smaller pursuit opportunities.

Contract Management

  • Manage a portfolio of large global compliance contracts, acting as a supervisory service delivery lead.
  • Proactively manage service delivery risks, ensuring strong governance and escalation processes.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key internal and external stakeholders across multiple jurisdictions, ensuring effective communication.
  • Oversight of contractual adherence, maintaining quality and risk processes, and ensuring Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) are met, including timely resolution of issues.
  • Provide guidance on contractual matters, oversee fee and scope negotiations, and set expectations for junior and offshore team members.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
