About This Opportunity

We’re a cost leadership team for Lloyds Banking Group, delivering valuable insights, cost-saving initiatives, and driving the Group’s target cost shape. We ensure the effective use of resources and language for our colleagues’ reward packages across decentralised and local operating levels.

The team of 12 colleagues is spread across Edinburgh, Bristol, and London and operates within Group Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)—placing you centrally within the business for broad impact. Your work directly informs strategic discussions, including those at Group Executive Committee (GEC) level.

This is a dynamic role suited for individuals with:

  • Strong sense of purpose
  • Diplomatic influence and senior relationship-building skills
  • Passion for leading analysis and optimising costs across the Group

If you thrive in a collaborative, high-visibility environment where your insights reshape organisational decision-making, we’d love to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities

  • Developing cost insights: Deeply interpret cost trends through data analysis, benchmarking, and case study comparisons.
  • Strategic optimisation: Transform cost opportunities into long-term structural benefits, ensuring Lloyds remains a cost leader in Financial Services.
  • Stakeholder engagement: Build and enable confidence across the Group to advocate for change, driving cost out / unit cost efficiency.
  • Contract review & challenge: First-level material contract assessment before submission to the Group Cost Management Committee (GCMC).
  • GCMC support: Aid governance, curate materials for Board-level negotiations to ensure decision-effective discussions.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
