Senior HR Business Partner / HR Site Lead

Purpose

Support the transformation within the GFAB site as well as regionally to ensure HR are commercially led business partners. Support and drive leaders and managers across the whole range of the employee lifecycle by providing an effective and proactive HR business partnering service and adding value to organisational, regional and site people plans.

Key Responsibility Areas

  • HR transformation projects including site HR audit of BAU gaps, improvements and opportunities across site.
  • You will partner directly with the site senior leadership team, building credibility and becoming trusted advisor status for you and the HR function
  • Lead the site HR team, supporting their continuous development
  • Contribute to regional and global HR initiatives
  • Proactively partner with managers and leaders to help shape their people plans to ensure that they align to the priorities of the department and business.
  • Serve as a strategic advisor and coach to leaders and managers on talent planning, leadership development, performance management, and organisational design.
  • Identify trends and areas for improvement across the departments based on people data and create solutions to improve performance and engagement.
  • Working in partnership with managers and leaders, develop solutions to complex people problems across the functional areas ensuring that they are solutions focused, cost effective, fit for purpose and legally compliant.
  • Build strong, trust-based relationships with managers and leaders helping them navigate challenges, build capability, and drive results.
  • Collaborate with the development and implementation of HR policies and processes consistently seeking ways to make processes more effective.
  • Facilitate talent reviews and succession planning across the site with support from L&D
  • Becoming a key contact for HR support, working in partnership with managers and leaders maintaining a highly professional level of service to ensure the objectives of the HR function are achieved
  • Working with the site-specific HR team anticipating, responding and finding solutions to matters which arise and evolve
  • Providing full support, advice and guidance to managers on all employee relations matters including the management of investigations into conduct, capability and grievance matters
  • Help drive local engagement, health and wellbeing and DEI initiatives.
  • Drive delivery of performance management cycles across departments, ensuring consistent application of performance standards and calibration and monitor performance trends and recommend improvements
  • Working on cross site teamwork and alignment to deliver key projects with a focus on performance and talent management
  • Taking a hands-on role at every level, you will be looking for opportunities to support managers in their own development to enable them to both grow and succeed
  • Keep up to date with external trends and best practice in the areas of expertise and HR more broadly
  • Continuously drive improvements in tools and policies through external market trends, insight and internal best practice
  • Ad hoc support for wider HR projects regionally and globally

Essential Skills, Knowledge & Experience

  • Experience in leading HR transformation, turnaround or functional improvement
  • Ability to Influence others and gain their commitment and enthusiasm.
  • Proven ability to build credibility and influence within organisations where HR requires repositioning as a strategic business function
  • Advising and supporting organisational change
  • Track record of successfully driving cultural and behavioural change through leadership teams.
  • Ability to build strong and productive relationships at all levels of the organization with ability to influence at senior levels
  • Ability to represent the HR function strategically both inside and external to the business
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and workstreams balancing a range of priorities and deadlines across a generalist HR function
  • Experience of dealing with complex ER casework and strong understanding of Employment Law
  • Ability to spot key HR implications and improvement opportunities
  • High level of MS software including Excel, Word and Powerpoint

Desirable Skills, Knowledge & Experience

  • Experience working in a technology / engineering / manufacturing environment
