Senior Manager – Strategy & Transformation
Hybrid: 3 days London Office
£89,000 - £105,000 + Bonus + 9-Day Fortnight
Our client is a growing specialist management consultancy that partners with organisations across policing, justice and the wider public sector to solve complex strategic and transformation challenges. Working alongside senior leaders, they help clients shape policy, redesign services, develop operating models and deliver lasting organisational change that improves outcomes for communities.
As the consultancy continues to grow, they are looking to appoint a Senior Manager to strengthen their leadership team. This is a pivotal role for someone who enjoys combining client leadership with hands-on delivery and wants to play an active part in growing a high-performing boutique consultancy.
Working directly with Partners and Directors, you'll take ownership of complex client accounts, lead multidisciplinary consulting teams and help shape the future growth of the business. Rather than inheriting a large sales target, you'll focus on building trusted client relationships, identifying opportunities to expand existing accounts and ensuring exceptional delivery across every engagement.
The Senior Manager will...
- Lead complex strategy and transformation programmes across policing, justice and the wider public sector.
- Build trusted relationships with senior client stakeholders, acting as a strategic advisor throughout engagements.
- Take ownership of key client accounts, identifying opportunities to grow existing relationships and expand programmes of work.
- Lead multidisciplinary consulting teams, providing coaching, oversight and quality assurance across multiple engagements.
- Design and facilitate workshops with senior client groups to shape strategy, solve complex problems and build alignment.
- Oversee the development of operating models, transformation strategies and implementation roadmaps.
- Support business development through proposal development, client conversations and proposition development.
- Contribute to the continued growth of the consultancy by helping develop people, capability and ways of working.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
