Senior Manager, Innovation Programmes

Job Overview

As the Senior Manager of Innovation Programmes, you will lead our Innovation team by overseeing existing partnership programmes and spearheading new initiatives across the UK and Europe. Responsible for strategic innovation projects alongside ESA, UKSA and other European space agencies, startups, and large organisations, your role ensures Eutelsat remains at the forefront of space technology transformation.

You’ll manage a diverse team—overseeing junior colleagues in the UK, aligning with our France-based Innovation team, and coordinating internal cross-functional inputs across satellite operations, engineering, finance, and procurement.

Strategic Initiatives underpin your mission, driving innovation and growth within the organisation.

What You Will Deliver

  • Lead the UK-based Innovation team and oversee all associated programmes.
  • Coordinate ongoing innovation projects with multiple stakeholders, address contract changes, and triage programme requirements.
  • Manage interactions and reports with ESA, participating in project reviews and stakeholder meetings.
  • Define new strategic partnerships by identifying and evaluating cutting-edge innovations in the space sector.
  • Propose and structure initiatives to bring new transformative projects to Eutelsat.

Who Should Apply

We seek an experienced Innovation Manager with:

  • 5+ years of relevant programmatic experience in a space or satellite industry context.
  • Technical qualification (Engineering degree or equivalent).
  • Proven team management and project governance skills.
  • Prior experience managing ESA or national agency funded programmes.
  • Communication expertise for juggling diverse internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong and professional command of written and spoken English.
