Job Description
About dss+
At dss+, you don’t just deliver projects - you help save lives, improve performance, and build a more sustainable future.
We are a purpose-led global consultancy partnering with organisations in high-risk and asset-intensive industries to solve complex operational challenges across safety, operational excellence, and sustainability.
With a heritage rooted in DuPont’s industrial operations, we combine deep expertise, practical problem-solving, and digital innovation to deliver measurable and lasting impact for our clients.
Why This Role
We are seeking a senior learning and capability professional to design and deliver capability-building solutions that support client transformation programs. This role focuses on creating practical, scalable learning experiences and systems that help people build skills, change behaviors, and improve performance on the job.
You will work with clients and consulting teams to design capability programs such as learning academies, competency models, role-based learning journeys, performance support resources, and measurement approaches. You will help ensure that learning is connected to business priorities and embedded into day-to-day operations rather than delivered as stand-alone training.
This is a senior individual contributor role with significant responsibility for solution design, client engagement, and contribution to the growth of our learning and capability offering.
The role will be based in the UK and has a 50% requirement for international travel.
Your Impact at dss+
You will lead the design and delivery of enterprise capability solutions, working closely with clients and consulting teams to drive measurable outcomes.
You will:
- Design and deliver enterprise learning and capability solutions for client transformation programs
- Build role-based learning journeys, competency frameworks, assessments, and curriculum architectures
- Create learning approaches that include formal learning, on-the-job reinforcement, coaching, and performance support
- Partner with client stakeholders and consulting teams to align capability solutions to business goals, operational needs, and workforce outcomes
- Apply strong instructional design practices, including clear learning objectives, assessment strategies, and evaluation methods
- Develop scalable, reusable tools, templates, and content structures that improve consistency and quality across engagements
- Support pilot launches, implementation planning, and continuous improvement of capability programs
- Measure learning effectiveness and business impact, and use insights to refine solutions

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
