Senior Manager, Consulting Services
The Senior Manager, Consulting Services should be a “go to” practice leader that provides expert guidance, advice, and development support to the Consulting management team and their subsequent team members. This individual will assist the sales team with sales activities such as orals, estimations, and Statements of Work (SOW’s). This person works closely with Engagement Managers, Project Managers, Managing Consultants, and leads, and acts as a liaison between the Consulting team and executive management. This person will assist in identifying business needs, staffing projects, and ensuring that the work/life balance of our consultants is monitored and adjusted appropriately.
Key Responsibilities
Project Oversight
- Oversight responsibility for projects across the practice.
- Oversee and assist Engagement Managers and team members when needed to identify project needs, reduce risk, and develop solutions and strategies.
Sales Support
- Support the RFP response and pursuit process for Consulting work.
Project Work
- Guide the customer through facilitated design sessions and configuration decisions based on best practices and an understanding of the customer’s unique business requirements at all stages of the project.
- Regularly engage and support the client through all phases of the project, ensuring a smooth transfer from legacy systems to the Workday HCM solution.
- Perform multiple tasks under limited direction, while regularly keeping the client, your project team, and your Engagement Manager abreast of changes or progress related to the project.
- Take a leadership position on a project, or as a Cognizant or Workday product Partner Lead and/or Delivery Assurance Reviewer.
- Display your hands-on expertise of the software, with the ability to configure multiple areas of Workday HCM.

Team Leadership
- Assist in the recruitment, development, and management of a diverse, remote team of consultants supporting Workday applications.
- Promote a team-oriented, challenging, and innovative work environment.
- Lead and manage Senior Managers and/or Managing Consultants to ensure consultants adhere to the activities, processes, and procedures outlined in Workday and the Cynergy Implementation Methodology.
- Drive team and individuals to achieve high customer satisfaction levels.
- Ability to establish immediate credibility with clients and within the company; can build consensus and achieve goals through influence.
- Ability to build trust-based relationships and identify and foster business development opportunities.
People Development
- Perform role of mentor and coach.
- Analyze team skills and provide for cross-training to maintain teams’ ability to staff projects appropriately.
- Advise management team on team members’ level of expertise and availability.
Performance Management
- Establish direct reports’ goals and objectives during the bi-annual review process.
- Direct the collection of performance feedback from customer and engagement/project manager on a quarterly basis or upon completion of project for your entire team.
- Direct the collection of all internal contributions for team members assuring data is received by HR on a quarterly basis.
- Drive bi-annual performance review process for the Consulting team.

Skills & Requirements
- Possess 7-10 years of Workday HCM (or other HCM platform) Consulting implementation experience.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
- Proven experience leading a virtual team for 3+ years.
- Required characteristics: fast learner, detail-oriented, decisive, and enjoy fast-paced work environments.
- Must work well within and across teams to get things accomplished.
- Possess sales engagement experience estimating and presenting to prospects.
- Minimal travel required, but must be willing to travel on-site as needed.
- Eligible for SC Clearance - you must have been a UK resident for the last five years and be legally entitled to work in the UK.
