Senior Manager, New Business – Praxis

The Senior Manager, New Business will lead the end-to-end onboarding process for Channel Islands, Funds & Corporate, and U.K. clients, ensuring seamless operability, regulatory compliance and an exceptional client experience. This critical role oversees a cross-jurisdictional team, developing best-in-class strategies and processes while driving systemic improvements.


Key Accountabilities

Onboarding Journey

  • Lead and refine the centralised onboarding process via KYC360, ensuring alignment with Praxis’ regulatory and operational standards.
  • Oversee KYC, AML and client suitability assessments, staying updated with evolving legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with third-party introducers, prospective clients, and external legal/tax advisors to drive successful conversions.
  • Develop and maintain policies, procedures, training and guidance for onboarding to foster operational governance.
  • Work with business teams to design and implement risk controls, including automated system-based safeguards.
  • Track and report new business intake trends across the Channel Islands and U.K., identifying areas for performance improvement.
  • Review all lost/rejected business cases to pinpoint root causes and drive corrective action plans.
  • Ensure adherence to Group Outsourcing policies when engaging third-party vendors/services.
  • Support regulatory and examination reviews related to onboarding processes.

Operations & Business Support

  • Review and implement amended Group Policies tailored to jurisdictional requirements specific to onboarding.
  • Drive enhancements to Acumen (Praxis’ core equity database), focusing on data transformation, reporting, analytics and regulatory compliance.

Corporate Governance & Committees

  • Advocate Praxis’ values (One, Trust, Listen, Inspire) while aligning work with company strategy and operational goals.
  • Participate in relevant committees when required.

Leadership & Team Development

  • Lead with intention, fostering a culture of learning, career progression and open communication within the team.
  • Model and rely on informal feedback channels to create an inclusive candidate and staff experience.
  • Provide coaching and mentorship for junior colleagues while nurturing a supportive team environment.

Personal & Professional Growth

  • Stay current with industry trends and professional development, ensuring expertise aligns with evolving demands.
  • Proactively log Continuing Professional Development (CPD) activities to meet regulatory and Practice standards.

Role Requirements

Professional Qualifications & Experience

  • 10+ years’ experience in private wealth, corporate administration, funds or compliance roles within the financial services sector.
  • A recognised professional qualification, such as (but not limited to) CIPD, ACiS or relevant AML/Compliance certifications.

Essential Skills

  • Exceptional cross-stakeholder communication, with ability to interact at board-level and lead audiences (decline clients/stakeholders).
  • Solid knowledge of sector risks, including regulatory compliance, data governance, and ownership-structure complexity in a multi-jurisdictional environment.
  • Proficiency in applying practical validation techniques and delivering high-quality technical reports.
  • Demonstrated commercial acumen to evaluate proposals, assess business impact, and maintain strategic oversight.
  • Ability to inspire trust, mentor colleagues and drive cohesive teams.
