Position Summary

The Senior Manager, Operational Excellence (PPI) is a key member of the UK Clinical Trials Business Site Leadership Team (SLT), responsible for driving operational excellence, productivity, organisational effectiveness, and business transformation across the site.

This role exists to help the organisation translate strategy into execution. Working across a complex, highly regulated environment, the successful candidate will partner with leaders to improve performance, remove barriers, accelerate decision-making, strengthen accountability, and deliver measurable business outcomes.

The role combines Operational Excellence leadership, business performance management, change leadership, organisational effectiveness, productivity ownership, and capability development.

Success in this role requires more than identifying improvement opportunities. The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong bias for action, ensuring business priorities are translated into clear plans, owned actions, measurable outcomes, and sustainable results.

The Senior Manager will be a visible leader who builds trust, creates alignment, challenges constructively, and drives execution across the organisation.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
