About The Role

This role offers a unique opportunity to lead and execute strategic initiatives that transform BT International’s portfolio across data, voice, security, cloud, and unified communications. You’ll work at the heart of our strategy, partnering with senior leaders to deliver commercial success, cost leadership, and portfolio simplification—making a tangible impact on how we serve customers worldwide.

This role will lead high-priority strategic and portfolio initiatives within BT International, driving transformation and commercial success across multiple product domains. The individual will act as a trusted advisor to the Portfolio leadership team, ensuring end-to-end product accountability and enabling cost leadership, profitability, and simplification.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Lead strategic projects across BT International’s portfolio areas: data connectivity, voice connectivity, security, cloud, unified communications, and contact centres.
  • Reporting into the Strategy Director and partnering with Portfolio leadership to shape and execute strategic initiatives.
  • Drive end-to-end product success, supporting the transition to full accountability for cost leadership and sales performance.
  • Deliver cost transformation programs, identifying labour and non-labour savings opportunities.
  • Develop and analyse product P&Ls, identifying actionable levers for profitability improvement.
  • Create execution plans for portfolio-specific profitability and simplification initiatives.
  • Work cross-functionally with sales, transformation, service, and portfolio teams to accelerate commercial success and portfolio simplification.
  • Manage customer migration plans, ensuring risks are mitigated and communication is clear.
  • Produce strategic content for internal and external stakeholders to articulate progress and outcomes.

Essential Skills / Experience

SKILLS:

  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving
  • Financial acumen (P&L management, cost analysis, profitability levers)
  • Project and program management
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Ability to manage ambiguity and deliver under pressure
  • Knowledge of telecoms and technology portfolio areas (connectivity, cloud, security, UC)
  • Proficiency in data-driven decision-making and business case development

PROFILE:

  • Experience: 5–8 years in strategy, portfolio management, or transformation roles within telecoms, technology, or related sectors.
  • Background: Strong exposure to product lifecycle management, commercial analysis, and strategic execution.
  • Mindset: Highly analytical, commercially astute, and comfortable operating in complex, matrixed environments.
  • Influence: Proven ability to engage senior stakeholders and drive consensus across diverse teams.
  • Delivery: Track record of leading cross-functional initiatives with measurable business impact.
