Summary

Do you have a passion for pricing strategy and want to make a real commercial impact? We're looking for an experienced Senior Manager Pricing to shape and drive our pricing strategy across the Portable Metrology division.

In this high-impact role, you'll lead the development of pricing strategies, drive pricing analytics and insights, and enable commercial teams to make data-driven decisions that support profitable growth. Working at the heart of our Strategy & Operations team, you'll collaborate closely with senior leaders across Sales, Finance and the wider business while leading a small team of pricing specialists.

Job Responsibilities

Oracle CPQ Configuration & Adoption:

  • Lead the implementation of the Oracle CPQ platform, working closely with IT, Sales Operations, and other relevant teams.
  • Configure the CPQ system to align with our product catalogue, pricing structures, and business rules.
  • Customize workflows, approval processes, and document templates to optimize the quote-to-cash process.
  • Administer and maintain the CPQ system, ensuring accurate and up-to-date product and pricing information, including both new portfolio & geography launch, and day-to-day system maintenance.

Pricing Strategy Implementation

  • Develop pricing structures, tiers, and packages that cater to different customer segments and address varying needs.
  • Create and maintain documentation for pricing guidelines and policies.
  • Collaborate with product managers and sales teams to understand product offerings, market positioning, and customer segments.
  • Translate pricing strategies into actionable rules and guidelines within the CPQ system, for systematic pricing governance, tracking & measurement.

Process Excellence

  • Lead the deal review process, evaluating pricing, contract terms, and other deal elements to ensure alignment with company guidelines and financial objectives.
  • Collaborate with Sales teams to gather necessary information and address any issues or questions related to deal structure.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline and improve the CPQ process to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Recommend enhancements to the CPQ system's functionality to support evolving business needs.
  • Configure product prices and discounts based on predefined rules by geography and any customer-specific requirements (example – global accounts, channel etc)
  • Ensure accurate and timely quote generation through CPQ, by evaluating process efficiency, removing bottlenecks, considering various pricing scenarios and customer needs.

Data Analysis, Optimization & Actionable Insight

  • Analyze sales & quote data, market trends, and historical pricing information to identify opportunities for pricing optimization through revenue & margin growth.
  • Recommend adjustments to pricing & discounting rules and strategies to improve sales conversion rates and profitability.
  • Generate regular reports on pricing performance, sales trends, and quoting metrics.

Change Management:

  • Develop and execute change management strategies to ensure successful adoption of the CPQ system across the organization.
  • Regular communication, and support to users, addressing concerns and driving user engagement.

Sales Enablement, Training & Support

  • Develop training materials and conduct training sessions for sales representatives and other users to ensure effective and efficient use of the CPQ system.
  • Handle sales team queries regarding process, system & configurations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field. Master's degree.
  • Proven multi-years’ experience of leading Regional/Global Pricing operations and/or Deal-desk teams
  • Knowledge of Oracle CPQ configuration and implementation of pricing/ discounting policies along with Salesforce.com.
  • Deep understanding of pricing metrics, methodologies, and development of analytics solutions
  • Ability to communicate, train and negotiate with various stakeholders in pricing metrics and analytics outcomes
  • Ability to impact & influence leadership team with pricing knowledge, data insight & subject-matter expertise.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data analysis using tools like Excel or business intelligence software.
  • Problem-solving mindset with the ability to identify process improvements and operational efficiencies.
  • Knowledge of financial concepts related to pricing and profitability.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
