The Role
We are looking for a bright and enthusiastic Manager or Senior Manager to work within our UK Private Client Team. This role will be based within the UK Private Client Team in London, which provides a wide range of strategic advisory and tax compliance services to private clients and their associated entities. The successful candidate will predominantly support partners and directors to provide high level private client tax advice and be the staff lead on client relationships.
The Responsibilities
- Provide tax advice for HNW and UHNW focusing on income tax, CGT and IHT. Ideally candidates will have experience in onshore and/or offshore private client tax matters.
- Oversee the delivery of all aspects of tax advice and compliance for those clients, and all associated entities, such as companies, trusts and partnerships.
- Conduct technical research to interpret legislation and HMRC guidance, providing clear written advice and reports for clients and partners.
- Support partners with tax planning projects, restructuring, and succession planning for HNW families, trusts, family investment companies and landed estates.
- Liaise proactively with HMRC regarding queries, disclosures, and compliance issues, maintaining strong professional relationships.
- Mentor junior team members, reviewing their work and contributing to internal training on trust taxation and private client updates.
The Team
The UK Private Client Team advises individuals and all of their associated entities. A large proportion of the team’s work relates to families with multi-faceted needs, including business operations, family investment companies, trusts and general partnerships. The overall aim of the role is to provide outstanding client service in a professional and efficient manner, tailored to give the client the benefit of exceptional advice and maximum added value.

You
The successful applicant will be enthusiastic and technically capable, with excellent interpersonal and organisational skills. The position will require a high level of teamwork and commitment, with the ability to manage deadlines and run multiple projects concurrently. Candidates should be self-motivated, display a positive approach and can get things done. In addition, they should possess the confidence and professionalism to establish credibility at all levels, be commercially minded and have a clear perception of client requirements.
Candidates should be CTA qualified. The successful candidate will possess at least 3 years of broad private client tax advisory experience. The candidate will need to have experience in managing a demanding portfolio with a range of clients, reporting to multiple stakeholders simultaneously.
The firm will provide training and support to help develop the successful candidate’s specialist knowledge and capabilities.

- A 35 hour working week with a hybrid working policy with the flexibility to work from home for up to three days per week (our core hours are 10-4)
