Stepping into the role of Senior Manager of Procurement, as a key part of the Procurement Leadership Team, you'll navigate the full procurement lifecycle within your designated business domain. As a hands-on leader, championing a culture of leading by example and driving meaningful change is what fuels your passion.
To excel in this role, you'll need to build strong collaborative relationships across all areas of the business, understand different internal customer needs, and communicate clearly and concisely to tailored audiences.
Working with a team of talented procurement professionals, your day-to-day activities will include:
- Leading and managing your area of the team
- Defining structure and governance to achieve business objectives
- Coaching and mentoring the team to deliver short, medium, and long-term goals aligned with AML's strategic direction
- Building strong supplier relationships
- Developing supplier strategies
- Leading cross-functional teams to ensure the company's goals are met
You'll help develop a strong, strategic procurement team and continuously seek process improvement opportunities in conjunction with the wider Senior Manager team. You’ll liaise closely with Finance to align procurement targets and results with corporate reporting.

The Key Requirements
- Previous Procurement experience in a manufacturing setting preferably within Automotive
- Understanding of the strategic role of the Procurement function and ability to work at this level.
- Demonstrable ability to prioritise tasks and have effective time management and analytical skills.
- Strong leadership experience
