Mission Statement and Summary
This is an opportunity to shape how millions of customers experience retail finance. As Senior Manager, Product Strategy, you'll own and evolve our Embedded Finance proposition, creating innovative lending experiences that deliver value for customers, retailers, and NewDay. Working at the intersection of strategy, product, customer experience, and commercial partnerships, you’ll influence the direction of a fast-growing business, build market-leading propositions, and help shape the future of Embedded Finance. How You’ll Contribute
- Set the strategic direction for Embedded Finance, defining and delivering a product strategy that drives growth, customer value, and market expansion.
- Lead and develop a team of three Senior Specialists, creating clarity, direction, and fostering coaching to strengthen delivery, capability, and impact.
- Turn customer insight into innovation, using data, market trends, and competitive analysis to prioritise features and shape exceptional customer journeys.
- Influence across the business, partnering with Commercial, Marketing, Credit, Product, Partnerships, and Technology teams to deliver a best-in-class roadmap.
- Become the trusted product voice for key partners, helping them optimise customer experiences and maximise engagement throughout the customer lifecycle.
- Champion customer outcomes, ensuring products are designed and delivered in line with regulatory expectations and Consumer Duty principles.

Skills We’re Looking For
Essential
- Embedded Finance expertise, with strong experience across instalment lending, retail/POS finance, BNPL, or related consumer credit products.
- Proven product strategy capability, with a track record of building customer-focused propositions that deliver measurable commercial results.
- Exceptional stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence senior leaders, external partners, and cross-functional teams.
- Ability to translate customer insights, behavioural trends, and commercial performance into clear product direction.
- Strong product delivery knowledge and comfort working with design, technology, and digital product teams to bring ideas to life.
- People leadership experience, with a proven ability to manage, coach, and develop high-performing product professionals.

Nice-to-Have
- Experience working with retail or white-label partners, balancing differing priorities to create successful long-term partnerships.
- Strong understanding of digital product development, including agile delivery and customer journey optimisation.
- Experience navigating regulated environments, particularly within consumer lending, financial services, or fintech.
- Natural leadership qualities, with the ability to inspire teams, drive collaboration, and build alignment around a vision.
- An entrepreneurial mindset, bringing curiosity, resilience, and a hands-on approach to solving problems and creating opportunities.
