Job Description
As part of the T&O Transformation and Chief Operating Office, the Senior Manager, RBC Innovation Hubs will partner with local leaders to deliver against T&O and hub-specific strategies, ensuring consistency, accountability, and excellence. You will be responsible for accelerating progress against T&O & Hubs strategy through a portfolio of programs & initiatives including workforce planning, leader & employee engagement, tech ecosystem & academic partnerships, technology enablement, and operational efficiencies. While this role is based in Vancouver, it is global in nature with the expectation that impact extends across our other Canadian Innovation Hubs in Calgary, Montreal, Halifax and beyond.
What will you do?
- Be a trusted partner, advisor and consultant to local leadership within T&O as well as functional partners, aligning to drive business focused outcomes
- Support all elements of Innovation Hub expansion and operationalize T&O'S Workforce and Location strategy
- Track and report on RBC’s Innovation Hubs progress against key performance indicators and partner with leaders on advancing certain initiatives related to Hub performance. Proactively identify and execute opportunities to accelerate progress and innovation across our teams in the Hubs.
- Liaise with Hub leaders and Real Estate to build a best-in-class work environment through engagement and development initiatives.
- Lead internal communications strategies for our Hubs workforce, cascading pertinent local information and amplifying global messaging.
- Support and manage relationships with key stakeholders in the local market, including government, academic and tech ecosystem partners — work collaboratively with the Tech Partnerships team and other RBC teams to engage with those partners
- Support and lead initiatives to drive talent acquisition, employee engagement and retention and build out the RBC and Tech@RBC brands in the local marketplace
- Increase brand awareness in local markets to drive engagement initiatives that will position RBC as a top tech employer of choice
- Enable innovation by identifying and analyzing market trends, regional insights, and exploring opportunities to participate in community and incentive-based programs.

Must Have
- Strong communication, influence, and executive relationship-management skills
- A firm grasp on technology workforce trends with the ability to speak the language
- Experience planning and executing large-scale events.
- Adaptable with the ability to navigate and manage change and ambiguity.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders at once.
