Senior Manager – Risk, Regulatory & Operational Resilience (Financial Services)
About the Role
Novatus are seeking a versatile, highly skilled, and experienced Senior Manager to lead the delivery of complex risk, regulatory, and operational resilience engagements across Financial Services.
You will:
- Work closely with senior leadership and client executives
- Take full ownership of client engagements, shaping, delivering, and embedding practical, high-impact solutions
- Focus on risk management, regulatory change, compliance, and resilience frameworks
Operating with high autonomy, you will lead multiple workstreams or programmes, act as a trusted client advisor, and drive sustainable regulatory and risk outcomes. Your expertise will be pivotal in ensuring clients navigate evolving regulatory demands while fostering operational excellence.
Additionally, you will:
- Play a key role in growing client accounts, identifying, validating, and enrolling new opportunities
- Support strategic account development
- Contribute to cultural shaping within Novatus, including people development, leadership development, and internal strategy
Key Responsibilities
Client Delivery & Engagement Ownership
- Own the end-to-end delivery of risk and regulatory projects/programmes, managing scope, timelines, commercials, and senior stakeholder interactions
- Serve as a trusted advisor on regulatory expectations, risk management practices, and operational resilience requirements
- Lead the design, enhancement, and implementation of:
- Risk management frameworks
- Governance structures
- Control environments
- Deliver operational resilience programmes, including:
- Scenario testing
- Impact tolerance assessment
- Important business services (IBS) mapping
- Remediation planning
- Support clients in responding to regulatory change, ensuring adherence to evolving regulatory requirements and industry standards
- Conduct deep-dive assessments across:
- Risk
- Compliance
- Controls
- Operational processes
- Translate regulatory requirements into practical, actionable solutions and transformation roadmaps
- Oversee cross-functional teams for successful delivery and sustainable embedding of regulatory and risk initiatives
- Proactively identify and manage risks, dependencies, and issues across engagements

Risk, Regulation & Resilience Expertise
- Apply deep expertise in risk and regulation to guide clients through complex regulatory environments
- Lead the development of resilience frameworks aligned with regulatory expectations (FCA, PRA, EU standards)
- Support:
- Design and optimisation of Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) frameworks (risk appetite, controls, reporting)
- Regulatory gap assessments
- Compliance reviews
- Remediation programs
- Utilise data and analytics for risk insights, monitoring, and decision support
Business Development & Account Growth
- Build strong client relationships and actively contribute to account expansion
- Identify, validate, and shape new opportunities within existing client accounts
- Collaborate on strategic account plans with Novatus leadership
- Lead:
- Proposal development
- Client pitches
- Thought leadership initiatives
Leadership & People Development
- Lead, coach, and mentor Managers and junior team members, fostering development
- Provide performance feedback and cultivate a high-performing, inclusive team culture
- Actively contribute to building future leadership within the firm
Internal & Cultural Contribution
- Drive and participate in internal initiatives, including:
