We are looking for technology-minded, business-focused and creative managers with a passion for bringing context to SAP innovations and ability to demonstrate how it can help transform our clients’ day to day operations. Your key responsibilities

In your role as an EY Senior Manager you will have responsibility for designing & delivering our technology projects within our client base. You will be expected to:

  • Manage a project team on a client-facing engagement, working effectively across the full lifecycle delivery of a large, complex technology programme whilst managing project financials
  • Design complex data & analytics solutions which meet the requirements of our clients and are in line with leading practices. This will be focused on an SAP core but will include reach of solutions on hybrid SAP and non-SAP landscapes
  • Engage and collaborate with clients’ stakeholders across all levels of the organisation
  • Build excellent client relationships and drive sales and opportunities in the market
  • Work as part of a high performing team, mentoring junior members of staff

Skills and attributes for success

You will have knowledge and experience of the following:

  • SAP certification in BDC, SAC or equivalent experience
  • Ability to create complex system architectures from designing SAP data & analytics solutions to meet business functional requirements to proposing wider system landscape solutions to integrate with wider system landscapes (including hybrid SAP and non-SAP environments)
  • Positioning the features and limitations of SAP data & analytics tools, including SAC vs other non-SAP reporting tools and the use of SAP BDC in an integration pattern with a non-SAP cloud platform, and the wider benefits of SAP BDC vs other cloud platforms
  • Understanding and experience of leading practices for architecting and building SAP data & analytics solutions covering:
    • SAP Datasphere / SAP BW/4HANA and/or SAP BW and/or BW on HANA (inc. SAP BW ABAP) / Native HANA design and implementation
    • Data extraction mechanisms including ODP extractions (CDS, SAPI)
    • Data modelling concepts and best practices using layered scalable architecture (LSA/LSA++) and medallion architecture
    • Data provisioning and orchestration including Datasphere DataFlows, replication flows, task chains / process chains and job orchestration
    • Cross-system integration, combining SAP and non-SAP sources using SAP Datasphere integration services, HANA Smart Data Access (SDA), or Smart Data Integration (SDI)
    • Query and semantic modelling (BEx, BW/4HANA Queries, Datasphere Analytic Models) for scalable consumption through SAP and non-SAP reporting layers
    • SAP reporting solutions using S/4 embedded analytics and SAP Analytics Cloud
  • Good understanding of multiple SAP process areas (expert in at least one), and familiarity with multiple and how this data is structured in S/4 HANA / ECC with experience designing end to end data analytical models (source SAP to Datawarehouse to report / application) in at least this area
  • Multiple hands-on, full lifecycle project delivery experiences (Build, Test & Deploy phases) including ownership and accountability for a team responsible for workshop planning and delivery, requirements & backlog definition, data model design / build, report and application design/build, creation of Functional & Technical specifications and system configuration. Strong experience in large scale transformation governance process (change control, RAID, contracting etc).
  • System administration tasks on SAP data & analytics tools such as transport / content promotion process
  • Security implementation in SAP tools (data access control, row-level security, and audit capabilities)
  • Understanding of the sales process, from opportunity through to delivery, with technical expertise to determine how SAP Data & Analytics tools can provide value for clients with the ability to meaningfully contribute to bids to win work

To qualify for the role you must have

  • Demonstrable ability to manage large, complex programmes
  • Understanding of the full life cycle of SAP Enterprise Data & Analytics implementations both in terms of project delivery and the financial management
  • Experience working with waterfall and agile delivery methodologies
  • Experience delivering large scale Enterprise Data & Analytics projects
  • Experience designing complex data & analytics solutions in hybrid SAP and non-SAP environments
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to build ‘Trusted Adviser’ relationships
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Proven sales expertise
  • Willingness to travel as required in relation to working at Client Sites on specific engagements
  • An understanding of the SAP Data & Analytics tool roadmap and industry trends

  • Experience with SAP Group Reporting
  • Industry / sector expertise would be advantageous
  • SAP AI product delivery experience
