This role is pivotal in driving IMG’s strategic plan forward, ensuring alignment across business units, and supporting senior leadership with actionable insights.
About the Team
You will be part of the Strategy & Growth team, which handles:
- Firm-wide strategic planning
- Consulting for sports rights holders and investors
- Internal execution of growth initiatives
The role leans heavily on internal strategy, including:
- Strategic planning and SLT reporting
- Initiative tracking
- Cross-business coherence
- Close collaboration with Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and business unit heads
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
- Strategic Plan Execution:
- Track business unit performance against commitments
- Identify risks early and propose diagnostic recommendations
- Yearly Strategy Process Support:
- Structure the firm’s planning cycle
- Incorporate SLT inputs and test strategic robustness
- SLT Strategy Updates & Reviews:
- Ensure high-quality, useful briefing materials
- Act as an executive-level helper for strategic decisions
- Initiative Tracker for SLT:
- Help leadership refine plans
- Probe inconsistencies and drive execution
- Financial Strategy Collaboration:
- Work with Finance to provide progress updates on strategic goals
- Highlight risks, gaps, and opportunities clearly
- Ad Hoc Strategic Questions:
- Evaluate opportunities, writing investment cases, or resolving organisational matters
- C-Level Briefing Materials:
- Prepare concise reports for the President’s review

Knowledge and Experience
- 4–7 years in: Strategy consulting (MBB), corporate strategy, or equivalent experience—ideally in media, entertainment, or sports
- Delivery Leadership: Manage multiple initiatives autonomously, mitigate risks, and sustain momentum
- SLT-Level Experience: Worked with senior leadership to produce policy or strategic initiatives
- Financial Proficiency: Ability to build models, deconstruct P&Ls, and assess business viability
- Change Experience: Navigated organisational transformation, integration, or growth phases

- Pro Services: Understanding of commercial dynamics in consulting
- Multi-Unit Structures: Comfort in holding company environments
- Qualifications: MBA is preferred
Working Conditions
- Hours: 9:00–17:00, Monday–Friday
- Location: Chiswick Park, London
- Travel: Event attendance and on-site work required
- Flexibility: Potential unsocial hours for projects/deadlines
- Adaptability: Open to adopting new systems/technologies
