Senior Manager - Strategy & Operations

Senior Manager in Financial Services Transformation

Job Overview

Novatus are seeking a versatile, skilled, and experienced Senior Manager to lead the delivery of complex strategic and transformation engagements across Financial Services.

Working closely with senior leadership and client stakeholders, you will take full ownership of client engagements, shaping, delivering, and embedding practical, high-impact solutions across strategy, operations, risk, compliance, and technology-enabled change.

As a Senior Manager, you will operate with autonomy, leading multiple workstreams or programmes, acting as a trusted advisor to clients while driving measurable business outcomes. Your focus will include Target Operating Model (TOM) design, end-to-end business transformation, and growth initiatives to expand client accounts—all while contributing to the firm’s cultural and strategic priorities.

Key Responsibilities

Client Delivery & Engagement Ownership

  • Lead end-to-end project and programme delivery, including scope management, timelines, commercials, and senior stakeholder engagement.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor, providing strategic guidance and leading complex transformation initiatives trusted by clients.
  • Design and implement Target Operating Models (TOM) to ensure alignment with strategic objectives and deliver tangible business results.
  • Drive large-scale business transformations across strategy, operations, and technology.
  • Conduct business analysis, process reviews, and diagnostics to identify optimisation opportunities.
  • Translate strategic objectives into actionable execution plans and roadmaps.
  • Oversee cross-functional teams to deliver sustainable change, while proactively managing risks and dependencies.

Strategy & Operations Expertise

  • Apply deep expertise in strategy and operations to solve challenging business problems.
  • Develop and execute transformation roadmaps aligned with market dynamics and client needs.
  • Lead assessments of processes, governance, technology, and organisational design, leveraging data-driven insights for recommendations and decision-making.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
