Senior Manager role – Supply Chain
Summary of Role Purpose:
KPMG's Supply Chain practice helps clients build leading-edge supply chain capabilities across end-to-end operations. We combine deep sector insight, expert consulting capabilities, and trusted relationships to design and implement supply chain transformation programmes, including digital and technology integration.
We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Manager who is looking to leverage and expand their expertise in Supply Chain, with a proven track record of delivering exceptional results leading complex projects and driving business growth. The diverse nature of our engagements requires candidates to demonstrate comfort working with ambiguity and a commitment to continuous adaptation and professional development. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in developing transformative operating models across a broad spectrum of industries through data-driven insights and the effective deployment of leading-edge technologies.
Description of the role:
Our clients trust us to deliver trusted advice, and we need a Senior Manager who can uphold and elevate that standard. You’ll lead client engagements, drive business development initiatives, and foster team growth, making a significant impact on our success and the strategic direction of our practice.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee high-impact client engagements, solidifying our position as the most trusted advisor in Supply Chain.
- Apply cutting-edge problem-solving to projects across Transformation, Digital, and Sustainability, driving innovation and thought leadership.
- Serve as the primary client contact, delivering clear and impactful communications, building long-term relationships and identifying new opportunities.
- Drive insightful analysis, blending KPMG expertise with market intelligence and data analytics, to provide strategic recommendations and actionable insights.
- Leverage your industry experience to fuel sales, new business, and proposition development, expanding our market presence and service offerings.
- Cultivate an inclusive team culture, empowering team members and fostering their growth, mentoring and developing future leaders within the practice.

What You’ll Bring:
- Proven experience leading Supply Chain technology projects for diverse clients.
- Expertise in Supply Chain processes: S&OP, Transport, Warehouse Management, Network Optimisation, and more.
- Experience designing and implementing Supply Chain operating model transformations.
- Experience of ERP platforms such as Microsoft Dynamics, SAP, Oracle and/or best of breed supply chain solutions (LLamasoft, Kinaxis, o9, Anaplan etc).
- Change management experience in complex, multi-national environments (a plus).
- A passion for contributing to the development of innovative solutions and assets.
- Ideally experience in one of the following sectors Consumer Goods, Retail, Oil and Gas, Aerospace & Defence, or Industrial.
Role dimensions:
Leadership and management
KPMG's Operational Transformation team comprises circa 60 team members. You will be responsible for managing projects ranging in length from several weeks to many months and leading diverse teams of up to 6-8 consultants supported by sub-contractors and members of the client’s own staff. You will deliver projects to agreed deadlines and budgets, although the focus of this role is employing complex analysis to solve client issues.
Stakeholder Interaction & challenges:
You will be required to regularly interact with Partners, Directors and Senior Managers within KPMG to source insight and expertise and to provide progress updates. You will also manage interactions with senior members of the client’s leadership team. Your clients will be from all industry and commercial sectors. The ability to develop strong relationships with clients from diverse backgrounds and at all levels of seniority, including senior leaders, will be crucial. You will effectively communicate points of view and evidence that shapes decision making.

The Person:
We are looking for someone with a background in Consulting or industry with a focus on Supply Chain (operational or transformation). You should have strong experience in one or more of the technical areas below, and some exposure across the others:
- Supply Chain Transformation
- Digital Supply Chain (robotics, automation, AI, analytics)
- Supply Chain Sustainability (decarbonisation, human rights)
- Supply Chain Analytics (modelling, data analysis, visibility, AI)
- Network Optimisation (design, modelling, warehouse optimisation)
- Planning (Sales & Operational Planning)
- Logistics & Manufacturing (performance improvement)
Key Requirements:
- Experience developing transformation roadmaps with solutions to operational challenges.
- Ability to lead transformation workstreams, ideally including technology implementation.
- Experience as a workstream lead on large engagements or project manager on smaller engagements.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to present complex data analysis to diverse audiences.
- Willingness to travel, as the projects could include working on client site in the UK, Europe or Middle East.
- Candidates must be eligible, able to gain and retain National Security Vetting at the level of Security Check (SC).
