Why This Role?
We’re hiring our first Senior Manager, Talent Development—a groundbreaking opportunity to shape a function from scratch.
In this rare role, rather than inheriting a mature practice, you’ll design programs, frameworks, and processes to develop managers, leaders, and talent as Cohere scales. With high trust and autonomy, you’ll partner directly with the Head of HR to pioneer Talent Development—a function anticipated to grow alongside the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Partner with HR and senior leaders to define the People function’s capabilities; build frameworks for leadership and organizational growth.
- Own critical Talent Development areas:
- Leadership Development: Manager and leadership capability
- Talent Development: Career development, succession planning, and high-potential programs
- Manager Enablement: Practical playbooks, resources, and frameworks
- Organizational Capability: Operational improvements in collaboration, communication, and leadership
- Onboarding & Growth: helped new hires ramp efficiently

Compensation
- Salary range: $160k–$240k (or local equivalents), enriched with equity
