Senior Manager, Tax (Deal Advisory)

About the Role

Job Title: Senior Manager, Tax (Deal Advisory)

Location: London, UK

Closing Date: July 23, 2026

At BCI, you’ll contribute to a growing Deal Advisory Finance team, providing crucial tax-led support across key asset classes including private equity, infrastructure, renewables, private debt, and public markets. This role involves:

  • Collaborating with Legal Affairs, investment teams, internal departments, external investors and advisors to resolve complex, time-sensitive tax challenges.
  • Leading tax structuring, compliance, and reporting for global deals.
  • Facilitating government and revenue authority engagements (both domestic and foreign).
  • Driving policy and tax strategy to ensure alignment with BCI’s investment objectives.
  • Mentoring junior staff and fostering collaboration across functions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Tax Advisory:
    • Support financial and legal teams in structuring and implementing tax-efficient investments.
    • Monitor/report on tax valuations, liabilities, audits, and compliance for existing portfolios.

  • Risk Management & Reporting:

    • Ensure consistency with BCI’s tax risk management policies and strategy.
    • Deliver timely, high-quality tax deliverables for acquisitions, divestments, restructures, and asset management.
  • Tax Operations & Continuous Improvement:

    • Lead special projects including internal reorganizations, legislative review/engagement, and navigating international policy shifts.
    • Supervise junior team members and support compliance/enterprise tax functions.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration:

    • Interface with ** Domestic and international revenue authorities, governments** on legislative changes and advocacy.
    • Partner with external tax advisors and stewards to resolve technical challenges.
  • Knowledge & Cultural Contribution:

    • Maintain expertise on international taxation trends (UK, US, EMEA).
    • Champion BCI’s values by engaging proactively in cross-functional teams.

Requirements

  • Petitions:

    • Professional accountancy or law qualification (e.g., ACA, LL.B., or equivalent).
  • Experience:

    • Minimum 8 years’ taxation experience across big four firms, legal firms, or industry.
      • Preferred exposure to private equity, infrastructure, real estate, credit, including tax-exempt plans (e.g., pension funds, sovereign investors).
      • Familiarity with US/International tax codes and European tax law.
  • Attributes:

    • Strong technical UK/US/International tax expertise.
    • Ability to prioritise competing challenges with adaptability.
    • Leadership style: Collaborative, problem-solving, and proactive—balancing self-motivation with teamwork.
    • Communication: Exceptional verbal and written skills for internal/external audiences.
