About the Role

This is a high-impact leadership position at the core of a fast-growing, globally distributed engineering organization. In this role, you will:

  • Define and scale the Technical Program Management (TPM) function from the ground up.
  • Shape cross-functional execution across Engineering, Product, and Design.
  • Design systems, standards, and the operating model that enables teams to deliver reliably at scale.
  • Build and lead a high-performing TPM team, setting the benchmark for execution excellence.
  • Require strong technical fluency, sharp organisational judgment, and the ability to thrive in ambiguity while introducing structure to complexity.
  • Be an ideal fit for a seasoned leader with proven experience in scaling TPM functions and defining how modern software companies operate at scale.

Accountabilities

  • Build and scale the TPM function, defining:
    • Operating model, standards, engagement patterns, and long-term structure.
  • Lead, mentor, and manage a growing team of senior TPMs, ensuring:
    • High-quality performance standards.
    • Preventing drift into administrative or status-collecting roles.
  • Design and own cross-functional execution frameworks—ensuring clear ownership, dependencies, and escalation paths between:
    • Engineering, Product, Design, Customer Success, Support, GTM, and PMM.
  • Implement company-wide project execution standards in tools like Linear, covering:
    • Structure, tagging, milestone conventions, and program visibility.
  • Oversee dependency mapping and launch readiness for large-scale, multi-team initiatives across multiple business functions.
  • Establish program-level visibility systems, allowing leadership to track execution health without imposing unnecessary burdens on teams.
  • Partner with Engineering Managers and functional leaders to:
    • Reinforce accountability and ensure TPMs act as enablers for delivery systems— rather than substitutes for team ownership.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
