Senior Manager Technical Services

Senior Technical Services Manager

Workplace Futures Group Location: Bristol (South West Region) Department: Technical Services Reports To: Project Director / Regional Delivery Director

About Workplace Futures Group

Workplace Futures Group is one of the UK’s leading workplace design, fit-out and construction specialists. We deliver innovative commercial environments for occupiers, developers and investors across the UK.

As part of our continued growth, we are establishing a new Bristol office to support an expanding portfolio of projects in the South West. A landmark commercial office refurbishment project currently underway will set new standards for workplace delivery in the region, and we are seeking a highly experienced Senior Technical Services Manager to lead all building services, technical coordination and engineering activities.

The Role

The Senior Technical Services Manager will lead all building services, technical coordination and engineering activities across major commercial refurbishment and fit-out projects. Working closely with clients, consultants, design teams, project managers and subcontractors, the role ensures all:

  • MEP systems,
  • life safety installations, and
  • technical packages, are optimally integrated, compliant, buildable and delivered on time, within budget, with maximum quality and efficiency.

This position will play a critical leadership role in our new Bristol office. Responsibilities include establishing delivery standards, supporting a flagship refurbishment project, and helping to grow the team.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Leadership

  • Lead all technical services activities for major refurbishment and fit-out projects.
  • Provide strategic oversight of MEP (mechanical, electrical, public health) design, refinement, coordination and on-site delivery.
  • Act as the senior technical authority during project execution.
  • Ensure buildable solutions; check commercial viability of design/engineering approaches.
  • Drive technical excellence from concept to handover (and beyond).

MEP Design & Coordination

  • Oversee development and coordinated delivery of mechanical, electrical and life-safety systems.
  • Review consultant designs, issue coordination notes, and resolve clashing elements before construction starts.
  • Lead multidisciplinary technical design reviews.
  • Proactively identify risks (construction or cost) and escalate early, driving resolution.
  • Ensure alignment with the global project programme across all technical services.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
