Senior Manufacturing Engineer
Location: Banbury
Permanent

Salary: Up to £60,000 per annum

This isn't just another manufacturing engineering role.
We're looking for a Senior Manufacturing Engineer who wants to take ownership, solve complex manufacturing challenges, and help drive a growing business to the next level.
As we prepare for an exciting vehicle launch and continue to expand, you'll play a key role in designing and implementing robust manufacturing processes, developing production standards, supporting compliance, and helping to lead and mentor the manufacturing team.
This is a hands-on position for someone who enjoys building systems from the ground up, thrives on solving problems, and wants to make a genuine impact on how a business operates.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop and implement robust manufacturing and assembly processes.
- Create and maintain work instructions, control plans, process flows and manufacturing documentation.
- Develop process controls to support Conformity of Production (CoP) and second-stage type approval.
- Lead continuous improvement activities across manufacturing operations.
- Identify manufacturing bottlenecks and solve complex production and process issues.
- Standardise manufacturing methods to improve quality, efficiency and repeatability.
- Work closely with Production, Quality and Engineering to ensure successful vehicle launches.
- Help manage, mentor and support manufacturing staff, providing technical guidance and developing best practice.
- Drive improvements in productivity, quality, safety, and manufacturing performance.
- Support audits, compliance reviews and launch readiness activities.
- Review existing processes and redesign them where improvements can be made.
- Play a key role in taking the manufacturing function and the business to the next level.

We're Looking For
You'll be an experienced Manufacturing or Process Engineer with a passion for improving manufacturing operations and developing world-class production processes.
You'll have experience with:
- Automotive manufacturing or vehicle assembly.
- APQP, PFMEA, Control Plans, Process Flows, and Work Instructions.
- Conformity of Production (CoP), Type Approval, or other regulated manufacturing environments.
- Designing manufacturing processes rather than simply maintaining them.
- Solving complex manufacturing and production challenges.
- Leading projects and influencing cross-functional teams.
- Supporting, mentoring, or managing engineers and production staff.
- Working in fast-paced manufacturing environments where priorities can change quickly.
