Senior Manufacturing Engineer - GTFSD

Responsibilities

Position Overview

The Senior Manufacturing Engineer within our Gas Turbines Systems Division provides technical and operational support within Manufacturing Engineering at Parker-Hannifin, Ansty Park, supporting aerospace manufacturing of air-oil separators and heat exchangers. The role improves manufacturing performance, process capability, quality, and efficiency through robust engineering control, structured problem-solving, Zero-Defect leadership, and cross-functional delivery.

In this position, you’ll support the Manufacturing Engineering Manager by coordinating priorities, allocating work, maintaining team cadence, progressing projects, supporting Capex activity, and deputising when required - CNC programming knowledge is beneficial, but not the primary focus of the role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide senior manufacturing engineering support to Production, Quality, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Operations
  • Lead structured problem solving, including containment, RCCA, corrective action, preventive action, and effectiveness checks
  • Lead and support Zero Defect, PFMEA, and process risk reduction activity
  • Deliver improvement projects covering safety, quality, delivery, cost, capacity, scrap, rework, cycle time, and process flow
  • Manage multiple projects with clear plans, actions, owners, milestones, risks, and escalation routes
  • Coordinate team priorities, allocate work, maintain cadence, and escalate blockers
  • Deputise for the Manufacturing Engineering Manager in reviews, customer calls, and escalation meetings
  • Prepare and support Capex requests, including technical justification, cost-benefit analysis, and implementation planning

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
