Job Title: Senior Manufacturing Engineer
Location: Basildon
Contract: 10 Months
Day Rate: £300 - £325
Candidates must be eligible to obtain SC Clearance.
The Opportunity
Working within a multidisciplinary team, you'll play a key role in transitioning new products from design into production, improving manufacturing processes, resolving production issues, and driving continuous improvement across operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Support New Product Introduction (NPI) and industrialisation activities.
- Develop, improve, and validate manufacturing processes and methods.
- Create and maintain manufacturing documentation, routings, production plans, and work instructions.
- Conduct root cause analysis using tools such as 8D and FMEA.
- Support Manufacturing Readiness Reviews and lifecycle management activities.
- Work closely with Engineering, Quality, Operations, Supply Chain, and external suppliers.

Requirements
- Previous experience as a Manufacturing Engineer, Production Engineer, Process Engineer, or NPI Engineer.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and production environments.
- Experience supporting products through the product lifecycle and into production.
- Knowledge of manufacturing documentation, process validation, and quality controls.
- Experience within a regulated manufacturing environment.

Desirable
- Defence, Aerospace, Electronics, or High-Reliability Manufacturing experience.
