Are you an engineering professional who thrives on driving operational excellence, improving manufacturing performance and delivering meaningful change?
We're partnering with a leading manufacturer in Leicestershire to recruit a Senior Manufacturing Engineer who will play a key role in shaping the future of site operations. This is an exciting opportunity to lead continuous improvement initiatives, optimise production processes and support the development of a high-performing engineering function.
Working closely with Operations, Production and Quality teams, you'll use data-driven insights and hands-on engineering expertise to improve productivity, reduce waste, enhance quality and deliver measurable business results.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement projects across the site.
- Drive improvements in OEE, productivity, quality, efficiency and cost reduction.
- Analyse manufacturing processes and identify opportunities for optimisation.
- Lead root cause investigations and implement sustainable solutions.
- Support automation and process enhancement projects.
- Develop and mentor a small engineering team.
- Utilise manufacturing data and KPIs to support operational decision-making.

About You
- Degree qualified in Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering or a related discipline.
- Six Sigma Green Belt (or above).
- Proven experience within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement expertise.
- Experience with ERP/MES systems and manufacturing performance data.
- Excellent communication, leadership and project management skills.
Desirable:
- Experience within plastics, extrusion, injection moulding or process manufacturing environments.
- Exposure to automation, robotics or advanced manufacturing technologies.
