Senior Market Risk Analyst
We are seeking a Senior Market Risk Analyst to join a global energy trading organisation in London.
About the Role
The role focuses on daily analysis of Structured Products trading activity, including reporting on positions and P&L, while providing support across other desks such as Gas, Crude Oil Derivatives, LNG, and Power & Emissions. You will also contribute to Market Risk projects, including covering reporting responsibilities as needed.
The team is highly focused on automation and continuous improvement, with a strong emphasis on developing tools to enhance efficiency and analytics. This includes building solutions to support front office trading using techniques such as machine learning and artificial intelligence, with opportunities to contribute directly to these initiatives.
Operating within global energy markets, the organisation is active across crude oil, refined products, and biofuels, with an international presence spanning multiple regions. It plays a key role in trading, logistics, and sourcing across both traditional and lower-carbon energy sectors, with an increasing focus on sustainability and the evolving energy landscape.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
