About us
Mademoiselle Macaron is a luxury French macaron and confectionery brand based in Edinburgh. We make beautiful, handcrafted macarons and sell them across the UK — online, through corporate gifting, and for weddings and special occasions as well as for trade clients.
We are a small, founder-led business with a big personality. Our brand is playfully sophisticated, a little bit of accessible luxury, and proudly French-inspired — and our customers genuinely love what we make. We have built something worth being proud of, and now we are looking for someone to help us shout about it properly as we embark on some ambitious growth plans.
We want someone with energy, creativity, and commercial smarts to help shape what comes next.
The role
We are looking for a Senior Marketing Executive who is as comfortable writing beautiful email copy as they are reading a ROAS report. Someone who gets excited about a new product launch, knows how to build a campaign that converts, and cares about making the brand feel like the premium, joyful thing it is.
You will own our day-to-day marketing activity across email, social, content, and e-commerce — working directly with the Marketing Director and with a paid media agency handling Meta and Google. Your job is not to babysit the agency but to be a knowledgeable, commercially sharp client who knows what good looks like and can brief and review their work confidently.
If you have previously worked in an e-commerce brand, love the craft of marketing, and want a role where your work is visible and genuinely matters — this is it. Plus, we might fly you out to Paris…for work purposes, obviously.
What you will do
Email and CRM
- Own our Klaviyo programme end-to-end — campaign planning, copywriting, segmentation, send, and analysis
- Write email copy that sounds like us: warm, playful, premium, and occasionally a little bit French
- Build and improve automated flows including welcome, abandoned cart, post-purchase, and win-back
- Grow and look after our subscriber list with an eye on deliverability and list health
Content and organic social
- Plan and publish content across Instagram and other relevant channels, aligned to the campaign calendar
- Create on-brand visuals using Canva — from social posts and stories to email headers and promotional graphics
- Work with content creators for key campaigns.
- Spot the moments worth capturing — product launches, seasonal releases, behind-the-scenes, trends — and make them feel special
- Monitor organic performance and report weekly on reach, engagement, and follower growth

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

- Deliver integrated seasonal campaigns across email, paid, and organic — Father's Day, corporate gifting season, Christmas, and more

- Run post-campaign analysis and apply what you learn
Shopify and e-commerce

- Keep an eye on what is performing and flag opportunities to improve conversion or merchandising

- Flag when something looks off and push for answers
Reporting and performance

- Understand the basics of CAC, ROAS, AOV, and email attribution — not as abstract concepts but as the measures that tell you whether your work is driving the business forward
What we are looking for
Essential
We are looking for someone with 3 to 5 years of hands-on digital marketing experience in an e-commerce or consumer brand environment.
- Experience in a digital marketing role with real ownership of email and social channels
- Hands-on Klaviyo (preferred) or other platform email marketing experience — you should be able to build flows, segments, and campaigns without being shown how
- Confident with Canva — able to produce good-looking, on-brand visuals independently
- Shopify and e-commerce experience — you understand how an online store works and how marketing drives it
- Strong copywriting skills — you write clearly, warmly, and in a voice that fits the brand
- Experience creating content across a wide range of platforms including TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, Pinterest, and YouTube as well as spotting and acting on trending content
- A working understanding of Meta and Google Ads — you won't be managing the accounts yourself but you will need to keep the paid media agency accountable
- Organised and self-directed — you manage your own time and your own priorities without needing to be chased
- Commercially aware — you understand that marketing exists to drive revenue and you measure your work accordingly
- Genuinely enthusiastic about brand, creativity, and building something — this matters as much as the technical skills
- Comfortable and curious working with AI assistants (e.g. Claude, ChatGPT) to speed up content creation, data analysis and planning, and good judgement about when human craft matters more.
