We are seeking a Senior Marketing Manager for Fiber and Access Solutions
This role leads a matrixed team responsible for marketing strategy and execution in the following solution areas:
- Test instruments for fiber and cable broadband networks
- Data center interconnect / inside data center
- Fiber monitoring
- Fiber sensing
The matrixed program team includes Solution Marketing, Product Line Management, Regional and Channel Marketing, Creative Services and other groups who collaborate to develop and execute marketing activities worldwide.

Duties & Responsibilities
Responsibilities
- Lead a global, matrixed team responsible for developing and executing an integrated marketing plan that establishes VIAVI as a thought leader, drives awareness, creates demand, and supports our sales team through effective sales enablement and content.
- Serve as the overall marketing communications lead for the FAS BU responsible for developing audience-appropriate marketing assets including collateral, customer events and/or seminars, social media, SEO, digital/websites, blogging, etc.
- Act as strategic lead for major corporate events where FAS solutions are the primary product lines represented.
- Align with other VIAVI marketing program teams on events and activities where the FAS BU products/solutions can also be marketed.
- Define and manage the program execution budget.
- Orchestrate and manage the execution cycles with the regional teams, creative services, marketing operations, Web, PR, Social and other critical centralized business functions necessary to execute.

Pre-Requisites / Skills / Experience Requirements
Required Skills
- Strong background in B2B technology marketing, with special emphasis on program and campaign development and management
- Ability to think strategically while being willing to “roll up your sleeves” and execute
- Demonstrated track record of being able to work independently and deliberately with an entirely remote set of stakeholders globally
- Strong content development and editing skills, to include message development, and email, ad, and web copy
- Strong interpersonal and influencing skills; must be able to work across a wide swath of the organization to develop and agree upon strategic marketing plans and related budget decisions; comfortable interacting with executive suite
- Must be extremely well-organized and able to juggle multiple projects / priorities at once with meticulous attention to detail

Desired Experience
- Minimum 5-7 years of marketing program management experience delivering complex and diverse portfolio technology solutions to global audiences
- Experience marketing to network operators, hyperscale companies and data centers
- Keen understanding of the data center ecosystem, including hyperscalers, co-location providers, and the contractors who serve them
- Proven track record of generating awareness and leads with integrated marketing programs
- Familiarity with the major industry bodies, trade events and media
