Senior Marketing Manager – B2B Events
Maternity Cover | 10–12 Month Fixed-Term Contract (FTC) Up to £50,000 basic Hybrid – London office 3 days per week Start Date: August 2026
About the Role
I’m working with a growing B2B events business that runs large-scale, international conferences for senior professionals.
They are looking for a Senior Marketing Manager to join their team on a 10–12 month maternity cover contract. This role requires taking ownership of marketing campaigns across a portfolio of high-value international events, including managing one direct report.
Ideal for someone who loves the pace of B2B events, is commercially oriented, and thrives in multi-channel campaign management from planning to delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Planning and delivering multi-channel marketing campaigns across:
- Website
- Social media
- Digital & print
- Direct mail
- SEO/SEM channels
- Driving delegate and sponsor leads through targeted campaigns
- Managing communication calendars and crafting strong, engaging campaign copy
- Collaborating with sales, product, and internal teams to align marketing with broader business goals
- Liaising with sponsors, partners, and external stakeholders to maximise event reach and impact
- Using data and audience insights to optimise campaign performance
- Managing CRM databases, audience segmentation, lead generation, and new sourcing
- Tracking campaign performance, event ROI, attendance, engagement, and lead generation
- Conducting post-event analysis and refining future events using attendee feedback
- Balancing event budgets while ensuring cost-effectiveness
- Identifying commercial opportunities, including cross-sell and group-sell potential
- Bringing new ideas and best practices to enhance event marketing
- Supporting one direct report within the marketing team
- Travelling to events when required

Requirements
Essential
- Proven B2B events marketing experience (delegate acquisition, event timelines, campaign planning, event sales alignment)

Ideal Candidate
- Specialist marketing expertise in B2B conferences, exhibitions, or events
- Strong experience in:
- Email marketing & multi-channel campaign management
- Copywriting for compelling event messaging
- Commercial focus on revenue, ROI, leads, and audience growth
- Data, CRM, and audience segmentation
- Project management with ability to handle multiple deadlines
- Collaboration with internal teams, sponsors, partners, and stakeholders
- Experience supporting or managing a junior marketer
- Proactive, creative, hands-on approach
