Job Description
As a Senior Marketing Manager at UW, you'll be responsible for driving our capabilities and marketing to deliver best-in-class customer engagement and value management, focused on Retention. The role will mainly cover:
- Own and execute the in-life retention workstream for UW's multi-service customer base
- Drive the evolution of churn propensity models, working closely with commercial and data teams to translate model outputs into actionable marketing interventions
- Coordinate across multiple stakeholders such as Customer Service, Operations, Data Science and Analytics, Product, and CX to deliver the FY27 objectives and targets
- Own the "so what" of retention data, showing a deep understanding and ability to delve into dashboards and translate the insight into clear action
- Management Responsibility for the professional development, performance management, and coaching of a Marketing Manager, ensuring they are motivated and delivering to a high standard.

To be successful in this role you’ll need:
- Proven project ownership in a retention marketing context — can walk through a project end-to-end: insight → stakeholder alignment → execution → result
- Strong data literacy — able to interrogate dashboards, work with data science teams, and own the "so what" of retention data
- Fluency in retention-specific concepts: retention curves, annualised churn, cohort analysis, propensity modelling
- Excellent stakeholder management — this role requires navigating CS, data, product, ops, and CX teams simultaneously
- Commercial mindset — understands cost-to-retain vs cost-to-acquire logic, LTV, ROI, can build a business case and balance both a commercial mindset with customer centricity.

Skills / Competencies
- Strategic Narrative & Internal Visibility: Ability to translate multi-layered commercial requirements into coherent marketing. You can clearly articulate the 'why' behind complex data to audiences at all levels, ensuring alignment on the balance between customer needs and commercial objectives.
- Stakeholder Navigation & Influence: A natural bridge-builder skilled at navigating a matrix organisation to align Data, Product, and Legal teams and more. You are adept at gaining buy-in from all levels and removing roadblocks.
- High Autonomy: Ability to operate with minimal supervision, taking full ownership of initiatives from concept to results and ongoing optimisation.
