About the Role
We’re looking for a **successful Regional Marketing Manager for the UK, Ireland, and South Africa.
You’ll be the face of marketing to regional sales, owning the regional marketing plan and representing the full marketing scope to regional sales leaders. This is an essential connective role between marketing and sales in the region. You’ll bring a strong understanding of ABM and digital marketing, and you can guide strategy or roll up your sleeves to execute.
Day to Day Responsibilities
- Own the regional marketing plan across:
- Demand generation
- Channel marketing
- Events (including field events)
- Marketing field execution
- Be accountable for quarterly and annual targets and ensure budget supports these objectives (UK and Ireland are priority; South Africa is covered but not the main focus).
- Serve as the single point of contact between the marketing team and regional sales leadership.
- Represent the full scope of marketing to sales leaders, translating their priorities into marketing programs and ensuring both sides remain aligned.
- Partner with the ABM Director to bring high-value account-based initiatives to life across the region:
- Guide and support the execution of regional-specific tactics.
- Align on impact measurement for programs.
- Create and run Proofpoint events in the region, end-to-end:
- Concept development
- Format and venue planning
- Content creation
- Invite management
- Post-event follow-up (Including Proofpoint Conference, executive roundtables, CISO dinners, and other field events.)
- Operate as the partner marketing lead for the region, driving initiatives with resellers and strategic partners:
- Develop and execute joint marketing campaigns that drive pipeline through the reseller channel.
- Work closely with reseller-led marketing teams to maximise returns on co-funded campaigns.
- Collaborate with the digital team on integrated campaigns to power regional marketing objectives:
- Webinars and crowd-sourced content syndication
- Paid media strategies
- Email campaign execution
- Website and asset localisation for the region
- Localise corporate EMEA campaigns for the UK, Ireland, and South Africa, coordinating with vendors/agencies as needed.
- Maintain strong alignment between regional sales leaders and marketing by participating in quarterly meetings with both mid-market and enterprise teams, reporting progress on initiatives.
- Work closely with Product Marketing and PR teams to tailor messaging effectively for the UK, Ireland and South Africa regions.
- Develop cross-sell, upsell, and competitive take-out programs to expand Proofpoint’s market presence and opportunities globally.
- Provide quarterly reporting to leadership on the impact of programs including:
- Response analytics
- Marketing-generated qualified leads (MQLs)
- Contribution to pipeline targets (Deliver insight-driven recommendations, not just numeric reporting.)

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
