Senior Marketing Manager (In-house role with serious potential)
West Yorkshire, Heckmondwike (Hybrid – 4 Days in Office to start, potential to move to 3) | Full-time | £55k – £65k DOE
The Role
This is an opportunity to build something special.
We’re looking for a commercially minded Senior Marketing Manager to lead and evolve the marketing function for a growing technology-led business with ambitious plans for the future.
Marketing is central to the next phase of growth. This isn’t a role where you’ll simply inherit a strategy and execute it—you’ll be responsible for defining it, shaping it, and delivering it.
You’ll lead a small but growing team of marketers and content creators, bringing together brand, digital, content, campaigns, and communications to create a marketing engine that drives awareness, engagement, and commercial growth.
For the right person, there’s a clear pathway to Marketing Director.
The Opportunity
You'll take ownership of the marketing strategy, ensuring every activity supports wider business objectives and growth ambitions.
Working closely with senior leadership, you'll help shape how the business positions itself in the market, generates demand, engages customers, and builds long-term brand value.
This is a role for someone who enjoys thinking strategically—but isn’t afraid to roll their sleeves up and make things happen.
What You'll Be Doing
- Define and deliver a comprehensive marketing strategy aligned to business growth objectives 📈
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of three marketing professionals
- Help move the marketing function to be data and customer first
- Own the marketing roadmap and ensure activity is aligned to commercial priorities
- Oversee brand positioning, messaging, and market presence
- Develop and execute integrated marketing campaigns across digital and traditional direct channels
- Drive lead generation and customer acquisition initiatives
- Manage content, social media, email marketing, PR, and communications activity
- Work closely with sales and leadership teams to maximise marketing effectiveness 🤝
- Analyse campaign performance and optimise activity based on data and insights
- Manage marketing budgets and ensure strong ROI across all activity
- Identify new opportunities to increase brand awareness, engagement, and market share
- Build scalable marketing processes to support future growth

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
