Key Information
University Hospitals of North Midlands is currently unable to offer visa sponsorship for Band 2 to Band 4 roles, as these positions do not meet the minimum salary and skill thresholds required under UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) regulations.

Band 4 Senior Maternity Support Worker (MSW)
About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for passionate and committed Senior Maternity Support Workers (MSW) to join our substance misuse and safeguarding team within University Hospitals of North Midlands NHS Trust.
Purpose of the Role
Level 4 MSWs play a vital role in delivering integrated maternity services to women and their families during pregnancy, labour, and the postnatal period. They will:
- Liaise with various community and hospital-based services
- Enhance service delivery through direct care provision
- Act as a key point of contact for support or signposting
Education/Qualification Requirements
Applicants must meet the eligibility criteria for Band 4 MSWs through one of the following routes:
- Completion of an apprenticeship route
- Successful completion of a Level 5 FDSci (Foundation Degree in Health and Social Care)
- Successful completion of years 1 and 2 of a pre-registration midwifery programme (see person specification for further details).

- Support specialist and multidisciplinary teams, including but not limited to:
- Midwives
- Health visitors
- Safeguarding lead nurses
- Mental health nurses
- Psychologists
- Psychiatrists
- Social workers
- General practitioners
- Prison officers
- Peer-support workers
