Maximo Functional Consultant – Remote (UK-Based)

Role Overview
We are seeking a highly capable Maximo Functional Consultant to:
- Lead process design
- Functional configuration
- Solution delivery across IBM Maximo projects
This role is ideal for someone with:
- Strong EAM knowledge
- Hands-on Maximo expertise
- Ability to translate business requirements into practical system configurations
You will work closely with:
- Clients
- Architects
- Technical teams
To design streamlined asset management processes and ensure successful project delivery across industries including (but not limited to):
- Utilities
- Facilities management
- Transport
- Energy
- Manufacturing

Key Responsibilities

Requirement-Gathering: Lead and facilitate detailed requirement-gathering workshops across EAM domains including:
- Asset
- Work Management
- Inventory
- Procurement
- Preventive Maintenance

Documentation & Specifications:
- Produce high-quality functional design documents (FSDs)
- Develop process maps
- Create configuration specifications

Configuration & Automation: Configure Maximo modules such as:
- Workflows
- Domains
- Escalations
- Security groups
- Automation scripts
- Business rules

Data Migration: Support data migration initiatives, including:
- Data mapping
- Validation
- Reconciliation
- Template creation

Integration & Custom Logic: Work with technical teams to define and deliver:
- Integrations
- Enhancements
- Custom logic

Testing & Quality Assurance:
- Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
- Test script creation
- Oversight of execution
- Defect resolution
- Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT)

Knowledge Transfer & Training:
- Deliver user training
- Conduct knowledge-transfer sessions
- Develop functional guidance materials

Post-Go-Live Support:
- Provide post-go-live hypercare
- Resolve issues
- Lead ongoing improvements
- Maximise system adoption

Essential Skills & Experience
- 5+ years of experience as a Maximo Functional Consultant
- Strong understanding of end-to-end Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) processes and best practices
- Project Management experience
- Experience configuring Maximo with minimal reliance on custom code
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills
- Ability to translate business requirements into clear and structured functional specifications
- Skills in:
- Documentation
- Training
- Supporting operational teams
- Knowledge of:
- Maximo data models
- Workflows
- Integration concepts
- Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Desirable Skills (Bonus)
- Experience with BPMN modelling tools such as:
- Visio
- Miro (or similar)
- Familiarity with ITIL processes (incident, change, problem)
- Sector experience in:
- Utilities
- Facilities management
- Transport
- Energy
- Manufacturing
- Basic understanding of:
- SQL
- Reporting
- KPIs
- Light technical configuration
