You will be responsible for leading the design and development of mechanical systems for building services projects, including HVAC systems, plumbing, fire protection, and more.

What you will do

  • Conduct feasibility studies and collaborate with other engineers and stakeholders to determine project requirements and objectives.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to the engineering team, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment.
  • Oversee project execution, ensuring that all mechanical systems are designed, installed, and commissioned to meet quality and safety standards.
  • Monitor project progress and budgets, identifying and addressing any potential risks or issues.
  • Participate in tender preparation and client presentations to secure new projects and maintain positive client relationships.
  • Stay updated with industry trends, advancements, and best practices to incorporate innovative solutions into project designs.
  • Promote sustainability and energy-efficient practices in mechanical system designs.

Who you are

We’re seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer with a proven track record within the services industry.

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Proven track record as a Mechanical Engineer within the services engineering sector, preferably with experience in London.
  • In-depth knowledge of HVAC systems, plumbing, fire protection, and other mechanical systems relevant to building services.
  • Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and IES.
  • Familiarity with UK building codes, regulations, and sustainability standards.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities to collaborate effectively with team members and clients.
